Parsing is an annoying phenomenon that isn't real debating.

Then you're confused about the meaning.

Of course those who cannot debate get angry when it is pointed out that what they are doing is simply taking statements out of context and 'parsing' instead of actually debating the main ideas.

I've asked people who accuse me of "parsing" to provide examples - they don't - they drop the matter and make the same unsupported accusation in later threads as if they've already proven their accusation. When I think someone has taken my words out of context, I explain where. It isn't a difficult task...

It's been 15 years since my ConLaw class, so cut me some slack. I seem to remember something about Court salaries being immune for just such a reason, because Congress could weild too much power over the Courts that way.

Imran, I've noticed you get quite nasty when your mistakes are corrected. Btw, you "parsed" that quote by leaving off the end of the sentence where I explain that the people who make the accusation don't bother supporting it, just like you've done in this thread. As for my "reputation" for "parsing", that comes from people like you, people who don't know what the word means. I'm sure Wraith and the other libertarians you accused of "parsing" would like to see your proof too...

I get nasty when people don't listen or simply lie. By parsing we mean you take every phrase and respond to it seperately. You do it quite often.

Check the last pages of 'Why are Black People so Fast'.

Any thread where you and Ramo discuss 'liberty' or somewhat are not only examples of where you parse to oblivion, but drag other people in it as well.

Of course when people have pointed out your parsing to oblivion, you don't listen. Such as the times when GP wondered if you were doing a self-parody in that one thread about stereotypes about posters.
