It was crap. Though I have to give a big hand to nice effects and action scenes. Other than that.. blah.

No Pekka, the special effects were nothing, even a bunch of pothead teenagers can perform those stunts...

If you don't believe me, check out this kickass movie: http://strungproductions.ghw.be/movies/Wallflip.wmv

Trajanus, ok. But it still had some nice action scenes .
        But I was greatly disappointed.

Yes, it was indeed crap. I walked out after an hour and forty minutes (if my GF wasn't with me I would've done it sooner).

I liked the first but this one. Wow, action and diologue like a cartoon! It tried so hard to be profound but ended up as just dull : all fluff, no substance. Save your money.

I posted my reasoning on the other thread but don't feel like finding it.

Well, found this video, and thought it was pretty cool, wanted to advertise Belgian kung-fu skills around the world a bit

Great film. Why do morons expect something profound? It's an action movie you twits, not a religion.

I thought it was awesome. You actually have to think when you watch it. Don't go in expecting to see Maid in Manhattan with kung fu.

It was crap. Don't expect me to hold my breath for the 3rd one. The only thing worthwile was the love relation between Neo and Triada.

The only prophecy which has been fulfilled is that serials always suck.

Which makes me wonder, why do you have to go for the trilogy? Can't you simply let a brilliant idea and an awesome implementation rest on its much deserved glory?

Why do you feel the need to utterly burry it under piles of expected crap and worthless videogame exprimentation? When you can't have the brainpower to even mock a resemblance of the genious of the first script and plot?

                            And why I say that?
The Matrix's idea was original, a prototype. Of course it had borrowed heavily from pre-existing folk both from science fiction as well as old as Plato's cave. But it was an amalgam that transented its composing parts to essentialize an unprecedented genuine novelty.

And the applied practice of that idea was so thought out that it left virtually no loose ends, it was unbelievably compact.
The point of having a sequel is not only to surpass the original in terms of special effects and to just "enhance" what was already there in the first place. Every moron can do that and it's not cinematography it's purely technical skills. A monkey can learn technical skills.
On the level of a solid, compact, central idea from which all things should spring is where the Matrix Reloaded suffered. And this lacking saturated and corrupted almost every aspect of that film untill in the end it had to reach an artificial and awkward crescento in a desperate attempt to try and balance this essential core lacking.

Consequently in the 1st Matrix you had to search with a microscope to find inconcistencies, holes and loose ends and irrelevancies.
In Matrix Reloaded there are so many it makes you sad of the degradation that the sequel to an awesome movie had become.

There was just one seed of novelty in the second film: the question of everything, of reality itself. But that was a limited concept which could have been consumated, expressed and implemented in just 20 minutes of movie time. Not 1in .30 hours or so.

All the other time it was "fillings", to garnish that one lone seed of originality. And it showed plain and clear. Also the original seed was in antithesis with the core idea of the first Matrix. It needed much much more work to try and bring it to terms, complete a very risky osmosis that was almost impossible. Instead of going for that we were simply shown a video game and nothing more. That was an easy way out or simply a realization that such a synthesis between the first core idea and the second seed of originality could not be achieved.

But I believe it could. They simply didn't do it properly. Maybe they had too much money in their hands and that's no excuse.

I actually fell asleep. The movie was boring.

I agree with the observation that the fight scenes dominated too much. Most here who applaud the movie speak of the plot and argue about the ending. I agree that that was the best part of the movie.

The only reason I would go see Matrix III is to see how the story ends. If I had the movie on DVD, I would simply fast forward through the boring fight scenes.
