Still, we stack up well with a starting salary of 37-40k.
I know you guys have to do better than the history majors.

A mon-fri, 9-5 wage-based job for good pay is just as well for me.

Where is my degree? BS in BS

Actually, I don't think Chemical Engineers make too little I got a job with a starting salary higher than any of those. WTF

I would be interested to see an chart of avg. salary of those with those majors say 10 years down the road.

I got a BA in Economics. While I started out making well below average income. Today I am way ahead of national averages.

I think degress like engineering and CS start out pretty well, but top out quickly. Social Science and most business degrees tend to gain value over time as you accumulate experience.

So he's unemployeed? Seriously Sava, owning your own business is a different matter. Of course, a degree is irrelevant if you don't have to go to job interviews.

What kind of work did you find? Did you get more training in addition?

The Canadian government has all kinds of details on things like that, but for Canada only.

It has things like unemployment rates per degree after graduation and 10 years, salaries, benefits, etc.

Nope, no extra training. I started out in consumer finance. Today I manage the State of Tennessee for a Fortune 500 mortgage company. High stress, but lots of fun.

I would disagree from the anecdotal evidence alone from people I know.

I started out with $40 per year and it goes up about 10% per year for the first four. At the fifth year you get to take the State Registration exam and if you pass then you can start making real money.
