      Ok. I get it now.
At first, I thought you were implying I was more consevative, when what you're actually saying is that I would be squeezing you into amore consevative position than you are, due to my being more liberal than a 6.

I'll back it down to 5, then.
      How's that?

I know. It makes no sense, but that's a reflection of my becoming more Radical Liberal.
I'm now free to twist facts to my use.

Rule number one here is that when designing this kind of poll, you need axels up the wazoo instead of the traditional left-right thingy, considering all the people with ideologies that have 1% support in real life and 75% support in the Internet.
"Spirit merges with matter to sanctify the universe. Matter transcends to return to spirit. The interchangeability of matter and spirit means the starlit magic of the outermost life of our universe becomes the soul-light magic of the innermost life of our self." - Dennis Kucinich, candidate for the U. S. presidency
"That’s the future of the Democratic Party: providing Republicans with a number of cute (but not that bright) comfort women." - Adam Yoshida, Canada's gift to the world

                  Up the wazoo huh??

Could someone please name an ideology that doesn't fit in a left-right scale. Religious ideologies fit in there, as well as fascism, nazism and anarchism...

So which number on the 1-10 scale represents Religious? Which represents Fascism? Nazism? Anarchism? Libertarianism?

the number doesn't "represent" one ideology...several ideologies can have the same left-right value....

Religious is of course very dependant on which religion you mean...but christianity, for example, would be to the right I think....
Fascism is also pretty much to the right...
Nazism's a little less to the right than Fascism...
Anarchism is way right and Libertarianism is about 7...

To me, left and right in politics is mostly for how much power the government should have...but if you disagree, please tell me....

Except you can have extremely religious democrats. You can also have libertarian democrats and republicans.

And how are both anarchy and fascism on the far right? If anything they're extreme opposites.

And what about fiscally vs. socially? ie, someone who is fiscally conservative and socially liberal - where would they fit? Or someone who is fiscally liberal and socially conservative?

(Never mind that a 6 in the US isn't going to be the same thing as a 6 in Europe)

How many times does the same sort of poll need to be posted?
