    What point would that be?

Ok, someone actually DID vote for it...

I didn't think there was someone deranged enough to think of the US as totalitarian and oppressive... you may think that the 2000 elections were undemocratic, and Bush is violating some people's rights by not giving them a trial, but it doesn't compare in ANY WAY to any of the other countries listed there.

The point that many people will vote for the US, even if they don't believe it, just to be a smart-ass?
If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

IMHO China presents the greatest long term challenge to world peace.

USA is so totalitarian and oppressive that many ppl dont even realize being under "the invisible oppression"

The US shouldn't even be on that list. The only people who would vote for the US is Saddam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden and some wacked out liberals from France and Germany.

The greatest threat to world peace is North Korea. Followed by China.

Fez, Why to you put DPRK ahead of China? Is it because of the imminent nature of the threat or the magnitude?

China seems a bit more at ease in the case of threatening the United States... they just don't do it as often as the DPRK does. Sure China and the US has had a ton load of problems in relations... it seems relations are cool. And China will not want to risk the up to $100 billion worth of trade it has with the US. (Let me recheck the numbers just incase, I brought up Asian/North American trade amounts before).

The People of North Korea suffer more than any other people outside of a African battle zone. People in those other countries listed (yes, even the US) don;t experience the same level of indoctrination and depravation North Koreans suffer.

Of course, Congo or Liberia are much better choices for worst hell hole on earth.

Edit: Lybia, Syria, Cuba, Iran are no more repressive than Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan. Why were these states left out?

It seems to me that you are saying immediancy, not magnitude?

GePap, I just couldn't imagine living in Congo. What's the average life expectancy there? Isn't it like 29 or 30?

My uncle was there for several months working for an aid organization.. he told me some terrible stories that have happened there. He was also in Burundi and Uganda aswell.

That is just about the life expectancy.
