    Oh ****!

    I shouldn't have had those last two beers .... or maybe I should have had another two ... or something.

    I've gotta go out for a nice long drive to sober myself up. See you guys later.

      Calgary has free public transportation?

      FP, yeah, the Xmas "Report a drunk driver even if you think he may one day consider possibly drinking and driving during the same 24 hour period and we'll give you lots of Government money" campaign was hilarious. Thank gods I can't drive cause people (ie, read friends) would have been reporting me after my, um, 8 hours in a pub on New Years Eve.

        Yes for university (and SAIT students) during the schoolyear (well it's technically built into the tuition, $50 a term, but it's forced and therefore free )

        It's also free for everyone on New Years Eve, for example, where everyone tends to get smashed. I think they call it Operation Red Nose or something.

            The usual collection of ignorant remarks.

            Take a cab. Call a wrecker and ride along. Call a friend.

              I'm against drunk driving, but the bigger question is:

              How many people drive drunk and don't get caught?

              How many people are DUI and don't get caught?


              I'm wondering how many people have driven drunk on this board. You'd all be liars if nobody here has driven drunk.

                I can barely drive when I'm sober. I'm sure as **** not gonna try it when i'm drunk.

                  considering how often people here talk about going to 'pubs', i bet plenty of you have nearly killed people in your drunken stupors... use your intoxicated brain and don't drive!

                    Is it not possible to walk to the pub? I've got two within walking distance of me and I live in a small village. When I lived in a city I could have comfortably walked to about a dozen different pubs.

                        Get off your high horse. Drunk Driving is much less of a problem in Britian than it is in the States. As long as you have enough sense to arrange for a sober ride, or have a cab, or walk, there's no problem with getting sloshed at the local pub.
