I can;t see **** Cheney bowing out completely. But if we assume he won;t be the next VP, then I think governor is a better guess..quick, name some rep. Governors!
Condi sai she was for affirmative action, plus she is more of a think tank type and not a politician (has never held any elected office) so her as VP or Prez candidate is very far off and unlikely. If you don't like reality, change it! me

Dan Quayle wasn't a suggestion, but evidence that past nominations have not been very good"An Outside Context Problem was the sort of thing most civilisations encountered just once, and which they tended to encounter rather in the same way a sentence encountered a full stop" - Excession

Tom Ridge? He could deliver Pennsylvania.
There's also a pretty good stable of senators available...
Edit: On looking at the list of senators, there are none that really float my boat.Last edited by DanS; April 28, 2003, 16:49.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. Well the Supreme Court could make this much less of an issue if we are lucky.
I think GePap is right though Cheney will probably stay on. I think right now it seems reasonably likely Jeb Bush will be the GOP nominee in 2008, although if the climate stays similar the GOP might like for someone with better national security credentials."I'm moving to the Left" - Lancer

Jeb is tainted, both from savings and loan, and from all the election debacles. The reps. could do much better than him.If you don't like reality, change it! me

My thoughts are that Cheney will remain VP in 2004 ticket. Looking to 2008 becomes an interesting topic. I think that at this point Bill Frist is looking like a viable candidate. Too much time yet to tell."I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. I mean, Dubya continues to look slightly monkeyish, and that John Kerry man's head continues to look utterly mutated. And Joe Lieberman looks like a ventriloquist's puppet. Itty bitty ventriloquist's puppet! Whee!
What? Looks are important! I mean, here in foreign countries, we don't even get to vote for the leader and yet we have to see his face on newspapers and TV on a quasi-daily basis, esp. during crisis situations.

From what I've read (might've been an MSNBC.com story a week or so ago), Rice may be wanting to run for Governor of California in...whenever the hell the next election is."Let us kill the English! Their concept of individual rights could undermine the power of our beloved tyrants!"
