Virgin was having a good sale...tons of great classical CDs for $9.99.

So I picked up the Bruckner 4th Symphony (Karl Bohm conducting the Vienna Phil); the Mahler 8th (Georg Solti and the Chicago Symphony); and the Mahler 6th (Leonard Bernstein and the NY Philharmonic).

It's been a while since nothing else good is out:

Matchbox Twenty - More Than You Think You Are
Incubus - Fungus Amongus (an oldie but funky)
"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

          CMX - Vainajala, I think.

I've been mostly listening to Pixies - Trompe Le Monde I loaned from the library, though.

The interchangeability of matter and spirit means the starlit magic of the outermost life of our universe becomes the soul-light magic of the innermost life of our self." - Dennis Kucinich, candidate for the U. S. presidency

I have only heard a few songs from TSO, but I liked them a lot and want to hear more. Any suggestions which CD to start with?

Spike! - The best of Spike Milligan - Spike Milligan et al.
Why Bother? - Peter Cook / Chris Morris

(I was in need of some comedy at work...)

A few days before that, though:

                          True Stories - Talking Heads
The Best of Lou Reed - Lou Reed.

(cos they were going cheap and my old tapes needed replacing).

                              Wasn't in the sale, and I'm a cheap b*stard...

I haven't bought a CD in years, but I've been listening to lots of Queens of the Stone Age songs that I've downloaded recently.

They kick ass so I think I'll buy a couple of their albums soon ... either that or a portable mp3 player.

I think I'll buy some more Blur and Beck soon too. My current CD collection is very stale.
If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.
