Avril's brilliant quotes

The disrepancy between her inane music and her inane quotes is killing me, here.

I realized she was at the very least oblivious to music history when she mispronounced David Bowie's name on the grammy nomination show. I believe she said Bow (as in, lean over) -ie. He was nominated for something or another. What a whore.

We can agree on how hot Jennifers are, we can agree on how horrible the situation in Sudan is, but we are at odds on Shakira. I'll accept however that there is no accounting for taste, and that we must simply have different notions of a good singer. Also, I'd have to admit that Shakira's appeal is more in the older stuff than in Laundry Service, and her voice is more singer/songwriter-ish than most pop divas.

So what? A good voice doesn't make a good artist.

Then again I mostly listen to punk and other forms of music where a good voice in many cases might be more of a disadvantage than an advantage.
