Chaos in Centralis

After years of government based on the principle of individual rights as sacred, it seems that the consequences have finally caught up with the Republic of Centralis. In recent elections, a radical libertarian/anarchist coalition made significant gains in parliament, and were able to push through a program that eliminated much of the government's remaining authority over the people. As a result, extremist political groups have had a field day, forming paramilitaries to take over much of the country. armaments, paid for by the looting of the areas they occupy, have flooded intot eh coutnry to them, and the Centralian miltiary has not yet been able to regain contorl; indeed, a number of units have deserted and joined various factions fighting for power.

The government of Centralis is in dire straits; we have disbanded parliament for the duration for the war effort and imposed martial law, but we have little control of the country outside the capital and major military bases, which have become fortresses. We appeal to our allies throughout the regino to impose an arms embargo on the rebels and help us in restoring order. Every day this situation continues, our country continues to suffer and people continue to die.

Alecrast pledges its support to the loyalist Centralis forces. We're no stranger to these problems ourselves. If there's anything we can do to assist, name it.

Well, the first thing on the agenda is to shut off the supply of weapons to the various rebel factions, as this has been the prime reason why we have been unable to make much headway against them. The second priority is to take control of strategically important areas, such as major cities, and use them as bases from which to roll the rebels back.

The Republic of Guardinia joins Alecrast in supporting the Centralis government and offers to assist in any way we can.

As a first step, we offer to send a task force from the Guardinian navy to patrol Centralis coastal waters and assist in enforcing an arms embargo against the rebels. The parliament of Guardinia is currently debating whether we should also be willing to put troops on the ground in direct support of the Centralis government's forces.

Ceroo would also like to offer support to the recognised Centralis government.
Our nation has never supplied weapons to any dissident group in a friendly nation and deplores any nation that does.
We precious few ground troops to spare, though we can offer to help enforce the embargo along the coastline, we have five new nuclear submarines our Fleet Admiral is itching to test out which have already been despatched to join up with the Guardinian task force (we have asked our captains to follow the Guardinian Naval Commanders' orders in matters relating to this operation).

We can, of course, offer aid packages to the disrupted regions when they are liberated; and, with permission of the Centralis government, will be willing to attempt dropping supplies from the air into loyalist strongholds.

Centralis thanks all the nations that have offered their support, and we can anounce that the first task has been achieved; we have largely regained control over our borders, and the flow of weapons into Centralis has almost halted. We must now face the more difficult task of eliminating them from their strongholds.

The Emperor of Iguana Fire, Komnenus, pledges support overtly to the parmilitary rightwing consumerist groups saying that the conquest of such groups will bring a new golden age for Centralian society.

However, Iguana Fire states that they will not fund such groups as Iguana Fire values its low 4% tax rate.

The Centralis government, having regained (for now) a modicum of control over society, has made some gains against various rebel factions, expecially in the important area around the port of Geelong, and requests further help in suppressing the rebels in the rest of the country.

Noosland offers miltary support to our neighbour Centralis, our first airborne division is ready to be dispatched to regain controls of major cities.

Please deploy your troops immediately. Although we have now rescinded the policies that led to this disaster, we have yet to retake most of the country.

USJ will come to the aid of their ally. We will send in 250,000 troops to help retore order in your nation. If you need more help we can send more troops. We are sending two aircarft battle groups near you nation and a thrid will come if needed. We will also be sending the 3rd Calvary Army, which contains Abrams M1A2 tanks and APCs as well.

Alecrast Ranger units have been put under your direct command Centralis. Use them well. I only wish we had more to offer in the way of armour.

We thank Alecrast and Jackson for their troop contibutions. Alecrast ranger units are currently being employed to hunt down and assassinate important rebel leaders in order to destroy their political infrastructure. If all goes well, we should soon be able to end the war.

Greater Mongolia denounces any military action against the rebels, and condemns any terrorist acts of the rebels against innocent civilians. Despite our ideological ties with some of the rebel factions we can not and will not support any form of unnecessary violence.

Mongolia should realize that we are simply trying to restore order and help the rightfull government of Centrails regain controll. They are not a dictatorship but they do need help in putting down rebels who seized the governments lack of order to attack.
