RULES UPDATE

• Since we are now past the year 1AD.. all turns are limited to 15.
  When it gets to the year 1500 AD, turns will be down to 10.
• Also, let's make it a rule to post your summary first before passing on the file.

Edit: Since I don't want to waste space with another message, I'll just use this edit to update the rest of the gang:

I sent the file to Phoenixcager yesterday. I think I forgot to note the time, but as of this message about 20 hours have gone by. According to the rules he has another 52 hours before the file may be sent to the next player, who I believe is Octavius.

Not sure what you guys playing the succession game do at the minute but I think it would be a good idea to send the save game along with a txt file for the commentary. This way the next player could add to the commentary before sending the game on and posting. This means the next player gets to see what has been done by the players before him, plus its an incentive to write the commentary after playing the turn. Not always possible of course, I realise that but I just thought I'd swing the idea this way.

Not a bad idea there Redstar.
I think we'll leave that up to the individuals rather than making it a rule, but that's a worthwhile suggestion.
It's also a way of making sure the file doesn't go before the summary.

I figured it would probably be a good idea to post a list of the newcomers:

I hope to get the 2nd game started well before Memorial day. (Sorry, May 28th for those of you outside the U.S... which I think is actually most of you! Dang Ethnocentricity! Hey.. at least my wife is Taiwanese, so I'm not all that ethnocentric, after all. Okay I digress...)

Anyway, this succession game is really a blast.
