stankarp, i don't think it's your files inparticular - i've tried a number of other files for the mods for ctp2 etc and i get the same thing each time.Looks like an Apolyton glitch.

I especially like that heavy phalanx I think IW or the Big MC may be able to give you a list of unit types we are lacking(crossbow springs to mind?) for CTP2.
Nice work stankarp expect to be in demand from the Modders here

So what needs to be done now, i'm sure Locutus had a list of sprites he wanted doing?
I'd like to see each civ getting it's own indivdual unit per unit type, to add a real feeling of being a specific civ...........

You do realise that there's a limit of 200 sprites...

                            Thanks for the feedback.

I want to make a special thanks to Immortal Wombat for his patient help

The Heavy Spearman was my first attempt and I learnt a lot from that, especially about sharpening each frame as the Civ 3 figures are actually quiet dull when enlarged for CTP2, and also in using the colour change tool tolerance to eliminate that slight dark edge I got on the spearman.

I had trouble with larger units such as the chariot archer because foot units are already a little big, I will try to have slightly larger frames for somethings like catapults and naval units.

Next project is a decent Roman Legionary and a catapult with a crew

Thanks for the feedback. I like seeing a line of phalanx in the front centre with heavy cavalry on the flanks and archers and chariot archers behind.

My cradle mod which I hope will be ready in 4-6 weeks includes , apart from the new sprites, for the early period, javelineers, advanced warriors, heavy swordsman, scouts, ballista, supply train, seige train, consript swordsman and conscript legionary and hun raider.

check civfanatics that have a better imperial legionary there (with a great shield). Have you been using flicster to get your frames or just from animation shop. And have you come up with any formatting tools? Like a single frame empty box with the right pallette etc that you are using to make your several sprites?

Whats the address for civfanatics? I would certainly like a better legion and given it takes about 12-15 hours to make a sprite, I could spend the time playtesting and working on my mod.

I have been converting using animation shop to access the FLIC frames then panit shop pro to do the alterations. I have a template folder set up with a text file that works and animation and shadow frames that I know work in a sprite. I then do 1 animation sequence at a time, eg say movement 1 of 10 frames, make the sprite and check it in a game for reasons outlined above and previous forums. I used IW's procedure but changed a couple of things to make it easier.

If you have an easier way to make a sprite, post the details but be specific as I am not a computer genius.
