  • The 'Mythical One' has resent the turn to its appointed destiny.

I wait with ears attuned to be enlightened!

Of course, I am also attempting to grasp the subtle concepts of this thing called 'humor' too...

BTW, my social scientists have also brought to my attention a related topic called 'Sarcasm' I will be working on this concept too.

A leader who is not willing to expand his horizons lacks vision!

        • All quiet on all fronts....

On the humour research.... We've only had limited success. My research team has managed to grasp the fine arts of Gutter Humour, and Racial Jokes, the latter usually being about the Welsh (I'll have a word to them about that)
They've complained that before someone gets around to imventing writing, all they can really do is sit in the Pub, drink beer, and try to make each other laugh before they fall unconsious.

          • Turn 18 to Hextapul

Greek researchers have been investigating the possibility that a form of humor known as "satire" may also exist, but so far no luck.

However, we do wish to announce that we have invented the "Knock-knock" joke, and the "risque" joke, which are now all the rage in Delphi!

            • Turn 18/19 -> St Jon

On the lighter side of the news,

Today, our great ruler Hextapul took one of his secret visits to the city, wearing the disguise of a peasant. He entered a tavern where there was an contest for the most humerous comedian of the Empire. There he proceeded to enter to competition, but the general Incan population is still somewhat new to the whole concept of humor. Hextapul's jokes were greeted with a volley of boos - he left the stage and returned with a regiment of the city guard and proceeded to have the tavern leveled and the occupants beheaded.

The last the victims heard were the words, 'Laugh or die!'

We greet Mobius on his return from Italy.

              • Turn 19 to Madrid.

Beloved Brother Tomas, Fire Watches had to be doubled in Paris due to the number of instances of spontaneous combustion that occured when news of your return reached the City.

Sinful Inca and Wanton Welsh, look to your souls! Humour is Blasphemy for only in pain and self denial can true Joy be found. The suggestion that my Disciples have been indulging in carnal lust is an affront to all that is descent. Fornication is a painful ordeal which the devout French people endure for the betterment of their souls. New Missionaries must be raised to spread 'My Word' but this is an ordeal that must be suffered not enjoyed!

Repent Sinners for I will forgive you.

We have noted an Anti-Welsh tone in the voice of our neighbours in Australia. Perhaps this may be the Australian form of humour that we are trying so desperatly to grasp.

In any case, our Ambassador has now reached the gates of Melbourne, and he finds it to be a splendid place. Despite the treacherous trek through swamp and jungle, he brings good tidings from your 'jovial' neighbours in Wales.

I trust that you will allow him an audience and a pleasant stay. I just hope that his jokes do not cause offence.

                    • I have returned from my audience with the Pope in the Vatican city re energised to cleanse the World of heretics!!!

Much seems to have happened, with the introduction of 'humour' into this World... Be careful my fellows that you do not succumb to it's dark side! Be ever vigilant against the depredations of 'Sarcasm' and 'Irony' lest you fall under it's sway and walk the path of Paganism!!!

That said I was disappointed to find that the Vatican would not take my Credit and insisted on cold hard currency...!

Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

Greek explorers push on to continue exploring the unseen parts of this world. Rumors abound of dragons and other fierce creatures in the inky darkness, but they do not deter us...
