    Great Shavlor,

You should learn a lesson in politeness. Mike has also asked the same type of request of me, but did so in a polite manner - he got what he wanted. But you demand me to withdraw my ship, and hold my fishermen and pearl divers as hostages.

So be it - now listen to my demands.

You will retreat your pitiful excuse of a boat on this turn, away from my fishermen - it is currently in established Aztec waters. If you do not do so this turn, your boat will be sunk, and your crew will be fish food for the fish that my empire eats.

Think carefully on this, because if you do pillage my nets, it will also be considered an act of war, and all the rulers in this world will see you as a threat to their own industries. Even if you stay, no leader would fault me for sinking your boat, as you are robbing my coffers and taking food away from my people. The same that you do to me could also be done by you to them too and I believe that no ruler is blind to that possibility.

You have one option, and that is to go back the way you came. I have been more than tolerant so far, but that tolerance ends here.

    • Aztecs:

I believe there is only one possible direction you could move to allow me to move again. That is back where you came from... To the East and or south east... Thank you for waiting for me to be more clear, because you might have went the wrong direction otherwise. Best of Luck to your people!

The mighty Aztecs we the Greeks ask you forgiveness we had no thought to cause you this great pain. We are truely sorry. Indeed all we sought was a passage through your waters. The plan to pilage your nets was never seriously concidered. We hope that you are willing to put aside this small afair and let your freindly neighbors the Greeks pass through your waters unharmed.

The Dutch people hope that our display of scientific achievement will finally convince the barbarian vikings to end this war. We have better things to do!

Hextan is glad to report that the Greek navy saw the wisdom of the Aztec proposal, and they have vacated the pearl beds in question.

As a sign of good faith, the Greek Trieme can continue on its way - under escort of the Aztec Longship, until the Trieme leaves Aztec waters.

As stated before, the Aztecs are a peaceful race, but if threatened, they will defend what they have.

Perhaps this grace extended to the Greek people will open the door for more peaceful relations - and show the world that the Aztecs are trustworthy.

              • To the Aztec:
The Viking people would like to let the Aztec nation know that the Viking people on the boat thank you for allowing them to continue in peace.

                To the Romans:
The Viking diplomat comes in peace, as he is located in neutral land between us, so any attack will be considered aggressive. We feel that his presence will be the only way we can live in peace, as your slavers lurk too close to our Viking cities. You didnt think the Vikings would miss that road you built to try to slave our cities did you?

                To all Civs (Dutch Especially):
The Viking people on this fine day would just like to officially announce the "Beaver" as our official mascot and God. Because of the presence of the beaver since our founding, and its assurance to our death, we would just like to recognize its presence in OUR civilization.

                Thank you
                Mike the Vike

The Wise Dutch would never question other people's beliefs, however inane. In recognition of the Vikings new faith we will begin sending beaver innards back to the vikings along with their dead. We apologise for refusing to trade in beaver tail, as they warm the hearts of many throughout our realm.

We do not build costly roads for Roman slavers, we build them to help stop the aggression of the Vikings. Mighty odd of the Vikings to accuse us Romans of deviant slavery activities, when after all, we were the ones that discovered a Viking slaver within our lands.

                          • Shavlor of the Greeks:
The Viking people accept your apology as we wish to remain friends with your people. We understand that your ship did not intentionally trap us. Please let us know which way you will move, so we can prepare our ores, as we prepare to continue our exploration of the deep blue seas.

                            To the Aztec:
The Viking people would like to again ask that you move your ship north, so that we may allow our boat to continue its exploration away from your lands.

                            To the Romans:
The Viking people wish no longer to bicker over who is attempting to slave who, we wish to "draw a line in the sand" and peacefully resolve this issue. If you continue to tresspass however a resolution may not be as simple as "a line in the sand." We hope that we may remain peacefull, but your decisions must be made soon.

                            To the Americans:
                            How are you?

                            • Theres a simple solution to your shipping quandry Mike.

If, as you said, your intentions are to sail south and I quote 'away from my lands', simply move your ship to the open water to the east, keeping away from my coastline (and out of visual range BTW) and continuing due south. I can also escort your ship, as I am doing with Shavlor's fine vessel. There you can sail without interference to whatever non-Aztec destination that lurks within a beaver-worshipping Viking's heart.

Remember, I am only repeating what you have just stated on the Forums.
