    • Turn 176 --> General Glorita

Greece has to give credit to Spain for having lowered their pollution, but we fear it is a case of "too little, too late". And the insinuations of Greek pollution seem to be but a Spanish "smokescreen", to hide the blame for their own guilty actions. As the Spanish government well knows, Greece has but one polluting city, and that city is about to become far less so. But even after having cut their pollution, Spain still earns the dubious honour of the most polluting land on this planet. Should any harm come to Greek citizens from these policies, we will hold Spain responsible...

As relations with Inca continue to improve, Greece awaits the disbandment of Arequipal1 and the evacuation of Exmouth, that we can say that all accounts have been settled. For truly the dove of peace has been making great progress in our two lands of late.

With the dove of peace flying high in the sky and the threat of total annexation Behind us. The Inca people are moving to put right what was once wrong. Destroying Nuclear warheads, complying with the Peace accords, and pulling back hostile military units from the border.

However many threats still remain. Dire warning from our scientists that the Earth yet again entered into disaster as the Ozone has depleted. It was too late to save it.....now the Scortched polluted earth will become even more so as useless wastelands of toxic dust can be seen as far as the eye can see. The future of Humanity looks extremely grim as it is yet 9 turns till the next disaster. Our Agriculture minister warns this latest ozone desatir could lead to a massive Famine due to hungry migrating locusts and poor rain.....and again more toxic tiles.

Inca also hereby declares her strict neutrality in any future conflicts. We believe the current finger pointing over who's to blame for the molestation of the earth between the Greeks and Spanish will most definetaly escalate. We will have no part in future destruction.

Now.....time to go stock up on Sunblock

Also.....Inca has never ever been among the worlds top 3 polluters. I would caution any nation who would place blame on Inca. In our opinion...French are the ones to blame for most all of this mess. Having only 10% of the worlds population, yet 30% of its pollution!! I would back a plan by nations of the world forcing France to pay some sort of reparations for the damage they have enflicted on us all.

Still the accusations fly from Greek mouths with regards to who is responsible for this pollution - and still these accusations are found wanting...

While Greece bleats on finding others to blame, it should be noted that during this time her pollution output has remained static. So now, not only does Greece has the world's most polluting city - but she is now the world's most polluting nation!

When Greece talks of smokescreens, perhaps she should look to the one that she has erected so convincingly over her own noxious industries?

If any Greek citizens are harmed Greece should seek her scapegoats close to home - should she come knocking on Spain's door, we will be ready!

            On a lighter note...

Spain has renewed diplomatic relations with France and will do so with Inca next cycle. The territorial concessions made by Inca have been taken up and Spain looks forward to working with General Glorita to help in rebuilding the shattered economy of the Inca Republic...

I do not think that one city even the most pulliting one is a measurement
The accusations for both the last and the upcomming natural disaster should be thrown to the use of nuclear weapons and the maximization of production due to war. That would exlcude Greece from the main responsibles.

Now that the Incans have suffered the worst from this war though they have done the less they are treated as friends. Sounds like hypocrisy to me
However we greet the initiative and the commitment that Spain will aid the Incans to recover from the war

We appreciate the wisdom of General Constantine, who has a clearer understanding of both the source and dangers of pollution than some here.

Regarding the output of pollution in Greece, we are happy to report that Naxos will dramatically reduce her levels within 2 cycles, with further reductions to follow. Other Greek cities are also following this eco-friendly path, and although scientists now find the time to disaster has doubled, we shall not slow our efforts, and hope the rest of the world will continue their admirable progress.

While all grieve at the appearance of so many blighted and blackened acres, volunteers from all over Greece have begun working to restore this land to it's original green and bountiful form. At the same time, the Greek Corp of Engineers have almost finished rebuilding the transportation infrastrucure destroyed in the last disaster, and have even been updating them to reflect recent improvements in high-speed rail.

A Greek diplomat has arrived at the Inca outpost of Arequipa1. We request permission from General Glorita to establish diplomatic relations with Inca, after which it is assumed that the city will be disbanded, as agreed earlier.

All is quiet once more on our World as peace regains a tenuous foothold - let us hope that this peace is only the beginning, as we all strive to avert another global catastrophe...

Spain notes with sadness that the World's most polluting power still has a steady output of pollution - despite propaganda to the contrary...

With our Diplomat approaching the great city of Huamachuchu, Greece intends to seal our peace with the Inca nation. May this be the start of a long friendship.

But why do our friends in Madrid seem more interested in causing a rift? Surely they see the ludicrousness of attacking Greece as a polluter. Although we have just taken the lead in that regard, it is by but a tiny margin over Spain, who had long held a HUGE lead before that for hundreds of years. Greece on the other hand has held steady at much lower levels due to a policy of concern for the environment. Furthermore, as we have already stated, Greece will show even more progress starting after our next turn.

It is to be hoped that Spain is not seeking to further deteriorating relations with Greece for some dark purpose.

                              • Another turn of trying to rebuild from the mass destruction of the Second World war. Despite Rush buying luxurys and providing extra wages for the people.....it has not discourged the mass exodus of refugee's leaving the nation. We continue to do our best in this area.

A spy attempted to a anarchy revolt in a inca city. Varouis reports said the spy was killed in the attempt handing out illicited propaganda. Others reported that the spy fled west through the vast plains and mountains of Greece. Fighters scrambled to look for the traveler.....in a white SUV. But it was like looking for a needle in a haystack. We apoligize for the incursions into Greek airspace....our fighters will return home Asap.

Pollution held firm this turn. 14 turns and counting...
