The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.
25 themes/skins/styles are now available to members. Check the select drop-down at the bottom-left of each page.
Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
It is not really complicated - just unzip the three files, use the folderstructure included, see to it, that the MedPack4 folder is placed as subdirectory to the Scenario folder. Then copy the AIdata files and the AIP files to their original gamefolders just as JB writes (remember to copy the original files back after).
The test was succesfull(!) - only problem was, when a AI annihilated one of my cities - but I have seen the same in a original PBEM-game too.
Players so far:
TheBirdMan
Hunter
Paul
Saddam
Fraze
Don
NukeBoy

Now your wotes for the settings please - and your preferred civ, leadername and e-mail address (just in case something has changed to what I know). I am still looking for a moderator.
Have you all tried to playtest a SP game - just the first 40-60 turns (can't take long)? And have you printed the advance chart? You'll need it as the Library (Help funktion) is missing some explanations.
While I am waiting for your answers, I'll test some more settings about the startadvances - unless you all want to start with the same advances?!
First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.

Actually JBTW your wrong on one point. If you want to play a normal PBEM turn. You dont have to swap the files configuration files to play turns from unmodded to modded games.....
Correct me if Im wrong
Birdman? Swissy? Somebody who has played the modded PBEM's(APQS, DC ect..)

The thing about the MedMod that isn't in any of the other mods is that it changes const.txt - now const.txt is a very annoying file because it must be read from the ...\ctp_data\default\gamedata\ directory - nowhere else will do. So, to play a normal game you need to replace it with normal const.txt, and to play a MedMod game you must replace it with the MedMod's const.txt. It's pretty important to get the right one because it affects all sorts of things like the game start year & end year, the fractions of gold/production lost to conversion/franchises and so on.
The aidata is similarly replaced, and that might cause problems with the barbarians.
If only Activision had realised that scenarios might actually want to change const.txt... I don't get these exceptions to the normal rules that occur all the time, there was a file like this in Civ2 too.
I have a cunning plan to get around this problem, but it probably won't work - don't hold your breath.
Be carefull when making buildqueue. Be sure to name them as a MedMod queue. If you have any special units/buildings from the MedMod in them, other games without the MedMod will crash if you by accident choose one of those for your city.
Edit:

I think it only counts for the one, that starts the game - just as I had to alter both the const.txt and the map.txt in the default directory when I launced Giant Bird (and Eagles as far as I remember) with an oversized map. And just for the very first turn - then the parameters are saved within the turn.

I hope you're right. That would seem sensible, but I wouild have expected more problems. Usually you get a crash if you try and load a game saved under different rules, but I can see how map.txt and const.txt (and a few others) could be an exception to that. Thanks for enlightening me .
In case you're interested, an alternate method for switching, instead of copying files around have both (or all) versions of const.txt in the gamedata directory under different names, e.g. you call the MedMod one constmm.txt. Then, edit gamefile.txt to refer to the right one. That should be useful for single playing and starting new PBEM games.
I just tried an SP game with the MOD, It works OK but the messages are appearing with variable references such as [city.size] instead of the value. Is there something I need to do to fix this?
