Wow, you just think the conversation is a friendly banter and discussion of how the ratings are supposed to be seen and maybe possible to be improved... then... bang...

So, if anybody wants to take over running this system, feel free to do so. I am finished with my contribution.
Quinns quits. Hey, why? I really think the system is good - not perfect, because it cannot be, but the best system you can think up using Call to Power!

All of the the data and formulas exists in the above reports. I've done this for too long. I thought it would inspire people to enjoy the game more. Man, was I wrong.
Hmmm... at least you inspired me to go into CTP:PBEM'ing. I just decided to do so when I noticed there was a rating system and a real community for PBEM'ing. I wouldn't have when I wouldn't have seen your rating system.

Away from the internet, I'm a judge in the Magic: The Gathering tournament structure, so I know a bit about volunteer work and stuff as well. And what I noticed there holds true here as well:

You always get the negative comments!

Even if 90% of the players/participants in what you volunteer for are satisfied, and most of them even happy, you only hear the 2% who hate what you do.

So, if you have any inclination to reconsider this, I'm giving you a reason here:

    I appreciate your work.

Quinns, I would like to be put amongst the ranks of the rated....

It took you much time, but I am convinced PBEM is fun...more so because someone bothered to take there time and effort to develop and implement a rating system...

All I need now is to hear from some cannon fodder that I may defacate on Klairs top spot......

Quinns, I hope you didn't take wrong what I said, my english is very approximative. When I said "I don't care about rating system" , I didn't mean that "I'm not ineterrested by ...". But just that "I don't cry about my (not so) bad result...".

Bad or good result, I looking for each change is the ranking to look at my new position!

Your system is of course not perfect but If a person thinks that he has a better system he could just open a new "rating" thread and people will make the difference.

Agree to above - special the last part. And now where DC has ended for my part, my position should improve a little. Ok, my position in Conquer does hurt me - but it can't go worse than bad:.

          Quinns pls continue.

Ayiiiiiiiii! NOW you tell me. After I've gone and made an ass out of myself... again. I had no idea that there was this much interest in continuing with this rating system. And Rubbduck is right, I just read the negatives, because that's all I saw.

Gavrushka has volunteered to help me with the ratings. And now that Blackice has reconsidered his rating status... how can I quit? Once again, Quinns misreads the intent of the forum members. I will try to be more resilient to the negative comments, so long as you all try to keep the negatives to a minimum, or at least chime in when someone criticizes the system. I get tired of being the only one arguing IN FAVOR OF the system.

                      TNT ratings, turn 59.

1.Fuzzball (I'm not making it up!! I really am!! )
                      2.Devil
                      (3.Blackice- not rated)
                      4.Vitolg
                      (5.Hunter-replacing Berxpert)
                      6.Nukeboy

Keygen's on holidays, so I've posted the ratings instead this time.

I never realised there was so much angst about the ratings. I rarely view this thread. I think it's a workable system Quinns, I've naught against it, and I hope you continue with it. Although I promise to change my mind when I get beat on

Look deeper than that Fuzzball, these comments where not intended to bash the system but to give more awareness into how it works pros and cons. Call it rating system strategies, I hope people can see that vs what the conversation and comments have degraded too.

I certainly hope we can have those types of conversations without the prospect of turning it into I hate the system thread... Or an us vs them which was proposed too...

I realize you are practical (sensitive) about the subject Quinn but personally I will not be stiffled and don't think I should be... I am sure this topic can be maturely talked about without harm or insult to anyone or anything. The advantages of such a conversation can be very benefitial to all.

I will start a new thread to get some strategy ideas going instead of mucking this one up...

We heard you the first time Ice!

Sensitive? Why, thank you Blackice! But "practical" I think is a better word. If the system isn't appreciated, why put my effort into it? That was my original point. But it appears, I see now, that it is appreciated.

And Lung... Doesn't everyone know that about you? You are world famous!
