I see. But how did that differ from what happened in our game? Did you look at my last turn? I adapted my strategy to my forest and tundra starting position ; many cities were growing; much infra structure being built; a different strategy against you that does not like a militaristic opponent (did you expect me to play into your strengths instead of your weaknesses?); oh... and I kicked your ass! I met all the criteria of "fun", so what is the problem?!

I said kicking your ass.

seriously quinns, the game didnt have a long 'build-up' phase ?
and what did you mean by playing into my strengths instead of my weaknesses ?
are you usually building even less infrastructure ?
oh and these roads down to our border dont count. besides, i had arctic on my side and you tundra, so i wasnt able to build roads there.

The 'build-up' IS your strength... So that answers both of your first questions. But in a challenge match, Math, the build up couldn't have gone on much longer because of the 4xPG rule. Even if I hadn't attacked you, I believe I would have reached the 4xPG mark in another 5 turns, and the game would have ended anyway. I was already 3.5xPG before I captured any of your cities.
And when you say "infrastructure", you do mean mines, roads, farms, and fisheries... Right? And if you look again, I had all of those going wherever I could. What other roads did you expect I should build?
