    Turn 180 to Lung.

It is time for Don Bradman II to point out the folly of the Dutch joining the Roman alliance
The dutch leader and people did what any normal nation had to do, living close to a babarian, warmongering, aggresive, slaverish and treacherous tribe as the australians are.

they must see that their leader was manipulated into sacrificing their country for the benefit of Rome and their meglomaniacal leader.
No of my allies were manipulated. Both the dutch and the indian leaders knew very well, that they got more from Rome than they contribuated with. True it is, that the roman people knew, no war would come from those nations - and true it also is, that the romans never would attack India or Holland.

The only leader, who is manipulated with is the german. The germans have got nothing in exchange but time. Time before the loonie australians wants german soil too. I know they were "allowed" to take a few indian cities, but no one is in doubt, who got the lions share of India.

St. Jon the evil shall soon be dragged out from under whichever rock he is hiding under and promptly executed
This last eruption from the australian volcano - which the germans soon shall know too - shows: Do never believe in Don Bradmans stories and treaties - they are lies. No peace would ever have lasted between Australia and India. Sooner or later, the australian would have attacked. Peace will not stand between Germany and Australia either - remember these word later, Mr. Stavros, when your troops will be shot at by the australians. You would not be warned!

No matter what the indian leader would have done, the australian leader would not stand by his word.

But I, Senator Maximus of Rome, stand by my word to protect my allies with all possible means. I hereby allow indian and dutch settlers to establish refugeecamps well within roman homeland, where I am able to defend you until you can return to your own lands. The day will come, when the arrogant lier, the australian leader, will be prisoned and his people freed from the evil facism.

    Senator Maximus.

So, it seems that Maximus of the Romans is not content to have already lead the Indians and the Dutch down the path to destruction! Don Bradman II tires of crushing the weak and manipulated, and now wishes to go to the source of the problem, a course of action which is long overdue.

The Mighty Stavros of the Germans has been given the word of Don Bradman II, and have been invited to share the world with their fascist brethren in eternal peace, shall they live up to their end of the bargain. Let us not forget, that a bargain it is indeed! Australia shall not pretend to deny the fact that they gained the lion's share of India, for we make no excuses for being the model for military efficiency on earth. It is for the Germans to keep up with us, not for us to slow down. Almora was promptly handed to Germany on a platter, in itself risking the operation in the name of Australian generosity.

Australia shall not have a wedge driven into our alliance of righteousness by a meglomaniacal dictator from a primitive and impure race! The pragmatic Maximus shall soon feel the cold hard sword of principle and honour!! Don Bradman II remembers the story from his great father, Don Bradman the Great, about how the Romans rejected advances towards prolonged friendship between our peoples. The benevolence towards the impure Romans was treated with insult. Don Bradman the Great vowed that never again will Australia stoop to the levels of the impure races. Only our brethren, the Germans, deserve to stand alongside our people!

It has been a long time in coming, but soon the Romans shall be purified from their vile "religion" and be given the chance to die bravely as warriors!!

          Turn to Birdman.

New bug, to me anyway, I was able to capture a City this Turn by maritime assault without using a Marine!

I did not think I should replay the Turn as I had Marines embarked with the Fleet and would have prevailed without loss anyway.

However, this is yet another CtP bug that could be exploited and is, I feel, contrary to all of the rules. Why have a specialist Marine Unit when anything else will do? Maybe Activision can provide the answer?

Two more Indian battleships have been sunk, only for another 5 to appear! Jon, have you got them growing on trees or something?? In any case, Nagpur was promptly recaptured, while Bombay will have to wait until next time.

Meanwhile, Den Haag fell after massive bombardment in what will be the beginning of the end for Holland's part in the war. Yet we suspect that the Dutch will continue to defy our authority, which will only result in more suffering for the Dutch.

Turn 181 to Maestro for Stavros.

                    Out of turn.

I am very sad to hear how the dutch people are suffering from the babarious australian warfare.

If the dutch leader wishes, I will release the dutch nation from its duty as ally to Rome. I am not happy to do this, but as my nation is not able to defend Holland, I will understand if you choose this way - hoping this can bring your hard working people some peace.

                    Senator Maximus.

Considering the recent developments, we wish to ask the Australians under what conditions they want to make peace with the Dutch.

                        Turn 182 to Lung.

The first indian refugeecamp has been established I see. I bit my indian brothers welcome within relative safe borders.

I do hope, that the australian beast would accept a peacetreaty with the poor dutch people - or at least a cease fire. I do see the threat, that this would release australian forces from that sector - but I do expect my glorious army will be able to deal with a facist body which have lost its head and heart to the god of war.

All quiet on the roman/german frontlines. Nearly.

                        Senator Maximus.

The great Indian city of Darjeeling fell to the might of Australia's war machine, yet virtually no resistance was encountered! It looks like Jon, in desperation, has resorted to a game of cat and mouse. No prizes for guessing who's the mouse

However, the net is closing, and soon India shall be freed from the burden of self-governance

In other news, a peace treaty has been proposed to the Dutch, and was quickly accepted by the honourable Dutch leader, who has wisely sought to save his people from further suffering. Australia imposes no conditions on the Dutch, in an agreement of honour and integrity. Of course, the Dutch will have to get by with a fragmented country, and are expected not to interfere with our current dispute with the Romans. We shall respect remaining Dutch sovereignty, but shall pass along current routes to ensure Australian security.

Turn to Mobius and cc Lung.

                                From the roman HQ:

"Sire, our commaders report, that all is quiet in all sectors and your orders are followed strickly."

                                "And the indians?"

"Their 1st and 2nd refugee camps are under protection of our elite tankdivision, which by now has reached 3/4 of its intended strength.

In the same area, we also have our battletrained marinecorps and some green machinegunners. I advice you, to let the lastest make a permanent garrison instead of sending those youngsters to the frontline."
