  • Turn 229 ==> Sophix

Terrible news reached Cairo today. The Butcher from Rome has sacked northern Wales, brutally murdering innocent and pure civilians. The troops of Egypt have been forced back from doing the same, but The WISE warns that the battle is not yet lost.

    • Turn to Mobius.

Terrible news reached Cairo? Um. Yes the loss of the Army of Cairo was not without sadness, but Egypt looks more to the big picture. In other news the peoples army succesfully retook Tanis, and other armies advanced deeper into Welsh territory.

      • Two more Welsh cities have been added to the Workers Collective!

The road to the Fascist Welsh capital now stands open - resistance is futile!

            • Er, didn't i send it to Demosthenes?? I distinctly remember typing tactics to the great leader of the Welsh! Demos, did you get it from me?

In other news, the great Egyptian/Australian standoff continues!

Tactics recieved and understood. Tanis has been recaptured and the Egyptian threat in the north has been neutralised. Now to turn my attentions to those pesky Romans.

                • With the capture of the Fascist city of Chepstow, Rome has learned of the awesome destructive potential of Quantum Physics - we trust that all nations will now have this knowledge...

More resistance was encountered than expected - it seems Demos was Wise indeed not to be suckered by our ruse to attack Cardiff...

                  Perhaps this turn, eh Demos?

                  • Australia greets the news that Quantum Physics has been learned across the breadth of the planet with dismay and horror at the potential consequences. Reports from nuclear testing elsewhere in the world tell of horror stories of immense destructive power and slow deaths from exposure to this abomination of god!

Hence Steve Waugh the Legendary (fresh from another gutsy ton against the mighty Indians ) asks that our petty wars remain confined to conventional weapons and not to bring apocalypse on our small planet with use of these tools of satan!

Wales will not be tempted into your second guessing ruse, The WISE have their own opinions, which are presently kept secret. The WISE does however give ear to our pure and enlightened brother Steve Lung, and heeds his caution.

                      • Turn to Mobius.

Omar Deletia concurs for the first time with the fascists and belives that it would mean absolute destruction, for both the planet and every major city to unleash nuclear weapons. He has sworn never to use any nuclear weapons, and hopes that the other leaders will have the wisdom not to as well. That being said Egypt has begun building nukes in a secret location as a deterant.

Thebes was liberated today by Egyptian forces. More Egyptian advances seem likely.

                        • After years of siege that great thorn in the Roman side, Taff's Well, has finally fallen! The last bombardment brought to bear was so terrible that our liberating forces were only met with token resistance of Fascists and Artillery!

                          Further News:

After the stiff resistance met at Chepstow, Roman forces were surprised to find Builth Wells undefended - it would seem that the Fascists would rather turn tail than face the continued onslaught of legion upon legion of Roman tanks!

As Rome tightens her grips on her southern Cardiff front ready for the final push, the Empire of Wales totters on the brink, split asunder into two halves…

Rome congratulates our Allies for retaking Thebes from our beknighted enemies!

                          quote:

Australia greets the news that Quantum Physics has been learned across the breadth of the planet with dismay and horror at the potential consequences.

Indeed one can imagine our enemies' horror and dismay with the realisation that they would no longer have the option of nuking us with impunity!

                          Long Live the Revolution!

Despite recent Roman victories, The WISE wonders why the people of Communist Rome are so unhappy, with at least three cities rioting.

                            • These 'riots' are merely stampedes to the Armed Forces Volunteer Offices - The Roman citizenry smells the spilt blood of the Fascists and demands more!

A quiet turn with the Roman army refitting as it consolidates the 'Southern Provinces'

Another Fascist army was destroyed in the vicinity of Hollyhead - or where Hollyhead used to be, in continued mopping up operations of enemy units trapped behind Roman lines!

                              • Glorious Australian fascists have captured the former Egyptian capital of Alexandria! However, the celebrations were short-lived when they saw the immense pollution afflicting the city and it's peoples
