PEACE WITH WALES...

Rome has declared a unilateral peace with Wales!

With immediate effect, Roman Praetorian Guards Divisions have stood down against further aggressive moves against the nation of Wales and pulled back from Welsh territory...

Rome hopes that this will be honoured as the first step for peace between our two nations!


NUCLEAR DETONATION

It is with the gravest of misgivings that the senate of Rome has to report the opening of a Pandora's Box with the first detonation of a nuclear device by Roman defence forces against Australian military assets...

In the early hours of this morning, a huge Australian invasion fleet was spotted off the undefended western coast of the Roman Empire. With no navy to speak of to defend against such a shipbound menace, facing imminent invasion of perhaps Rome herself and the interception and sinking of an Australian Transport just a turn earlier - the senate had no option but to carry out this defensive strike of a surgical nature!

Let the other nations of this World know that Rome has further devices of nuclear destruction at her disposal in case they are inclined to escalate this crisis, but that she will never use them in an offensive capability or against civilian targets...


ULTIMATUM FOR AUSTRALIA

In order to secure global peace, Rome politely asks the Australian Government to retreat northwards from the Egyptian cities of Bubastis, Coptos and Geberlein.

Let us hope for the sake of this planet that we can step back form the abyss that is staring us so starkly in the face and finally settle this peacefully!

The Fatherland has had to come to terms with great upheavel, yet we have to admit that the threat of global warming is still imminent.

Perhaps if the war between the Fatherland and the Crimson Comrades were to cease then serious efforts could be diverted to the the proper care and maintainence of Mother Earth.

From inside our fallout shelters, Egyptian citizens peer uneasily at the red, glowing skies , and hope that radiation levels will soon fall far enough that they might go outside again and live normal lives.

In the meantime, an ancient chamber beneath the Pyramids is being used to house a command center for monitoring the movement of mushroom clouds across the upper stmosphere.

Rome welcomes the communications she has received about overtures of peace and reconcilliation!

To this end, peace treaties have been sent out to all countries in order to further cement our fledgling relations.

Rome has already begun a modest anti pollution programme which if after 10 cycles, there have been no further hostilities, will be continued by a renunciation of communist ideals...
