Until Lung says "Uncle!" ... (I won't call it quits until then.)

It's all up to you LUNGSTER!! Shall we shoot this dying dog, or do you wan't to let Pope Jon keep on kicking him until he's dead?!

P.S. How about a new game with the four of us and maybe one or two more reliable players to make it five or six?? All those in favor... say "aye"!

Yeah, i'll be in on that, but it may be unfair to Jon, as revenge may be the word on everyone's lips You have no idea how hard it was to put those thoughts away in Lung's Fast! pbem Actually, i'd rather not as i am in enough games at the moment, although perhaps when this one finishes. However, do any of you think this game would continue once Civ3 gets released? It's a hard ask. I for one will be dropping CTP like a stone, although i will honour my commitments.

Anyway, in game news - St. Jon must DIE!!!

It is entirely down to Lung.

The NA's no longer have an Army and I doubt you are much better off.

I enjoy winning but I would rather lose a challenge than willingly throw away a Division because I can replace it the following Turn whilst you cannot. This is not fun!

If you wish I will continue to kick the 'dying dog' but there is no joy in this victory for me.

You can put as many faces as you want on your posts Lung, but Pope Jon will not "die" in this game. I will hang on with you Lung, but as long as we are putting the effort into playing a game with each other, why not make it more interesting... like in a new game. Let's drop this one. I'm sure there is more to this Jon-Lung feud that I'm am oblivious to ...
and I know you hate to admit it Lung ... but ... St Jon won! Face it amigo!

As far as Civ 3 goes, I don't think it will be that hard for us to migrate over to Civ 3, once it has been proven to work for PBEM. Something CTP2 never did. I hope they have stacking in Civ 3. And none of that silly one-to-one city to unit support relationship like in Civ 1. Those are about the only things I like a lot better in CTP than in Civ.

What do you say Mobius? What do you think of a new game? (This dog is dead already )

Hey, shouldn't you guys have played a turn by now!!?

I'm just here to make up the numbers - whatever will prevails...

I don't really have time for a new game though, as I've got too many other commitments.
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

I did play and post Mobius.

I certainly have no grudge against Lung; if I did have I would relish every move towards his destruction and I do not. Anyway, I will continue to kick the dog all the way to it's final vets appointment.

I certainly do not wish to participate in any further games as I am in too many as things stand, I also play SMAC PBEM which makes matters worse, and it's in danger of all becoming a bit of a chore.

I think you will find that Civ3 will be 'son of Civ', which will mean Settler/Engineer/Former built Infrastructure and single City Support, much as SMAC was. From the Civ2 NG posts it seems that is exactly what most Players want. Maybe we will get Stacking, even that seems a bit of a longshot, and hopefully they will ditch that stupid passport to victory Leonardo's Workshop.

                            turn 223 to Mobius --

Okay then. It sounds like I'll stick with CTP. I hope more people stay with CTP in that case. It's a good game. Yes, Jon, it was a chore for me too. I played SMAC a little and got bored with it pretty quick. I just couldn't "temporarily suspend my disbelief" enough with it. United Nations ship blows up and scatters pods all over Alpha Centauri... and factions land all over the place and build enormous empires in just a few years... just a bit too far fetched for me.

It is safe to say that the Native Americans will not be long of this World...

We can only assume many Pale Faces died when our brave warriors fell in battle!

                                Turn to Lung.

The ingratitude of my people is unbelievable!

I lead them on the path of purity and spiritual wisdom and do they thank me for it? No, they chuck me out of a job and install a bunch of atheistic lefties!

                                Last will and testament,
                                Pope Jon the deposed.
