    Greetings to the assyrians.
We get your words of peace and cooperation and we are looking forward to see these words come true. We are always willing to buy goods, so if you have to spare any, we will probably are able to make a deal that suits booth of us.
Also, we want you to know, that you do not have to fear anything from our exploring units. Yes, they carry weapons, but this is to defend themselfs. We won't start any aggresive act against you, as long as you will keep peace yourself.
As soon as we come in range of one of your cities, we will draw back this troops, I promise. Of course, we except you to do the same, when one of your units come close to one of our cities.

        • Even though Franses isn't a rated player, why not become a one? We don't disallow new rated players, unless a very serious reason is present.

              • Some turns nexted do make a big difference in the start - and that's what has happended to Creator.

My suggestion is, when you meet one (or preferable two or three) others - make an undefined treaty with them. Undefines is: no peace, no alliance but some diplomacy. How much is up to you.

Keep close to "someone" if possible in the start.

                • The Egyptians finally found the water needed to expand their empire.
Franses appears to be a bit overwhelmed lately. The older he gets, the faster time seems to evolve. He hardly has any time left to look after his harem. But... he loves ruling and is willing to give up some (not to much) pleasures for it.

He, I have not been here for a while. Sorry. I understand that you want to rank this game and that you can only do that if I do something. Don't worry, I will if you want me to. Just tell me what to do. If you want me to do it fast, mail me.

                  Franses

PS: Thank you Birdman for your respect. I appreciate that. Lets hope we meet somewhere in this, what looks like an empty world to the Egyptians.

One of our expolring units stumbled upon a town of yours. I instantly changed their commands and they will leave in the next days.

                    • Fellas, if you rate this game I will have to resign.

Look, my island is pathetic. Its swamp and ice. I have 6 settlers running around from the start of the game that I wasn't able to find place for. The only reason I've kept playing my turn is because it takes 5 minutes and I know you'd rather have a weak nation playing chinese than an AI.

I dont know which rated player would want to sub for me. But whoever it is, would probably not care much about his/her rating points.

Anyway. Its up to you guys to decide.

                      • IF your situation are total useless, you have to decide yourself.

You know how to do this, chat-mode and attach your number.

I do understand why you resist - but if a new game was started as a rated game - you could easily be in the same position.

I have agreed, that Monkey 2 could be rated. And I have only 2 cities left - and technology stage, where I was happy just to get engineering from the americans, while all my cities was destroyed/conquered by the dutch (Paul) with tanks and warwalkers!

I would have taken your challenge if I wasn't in the game already.

                        • No, no, no, King Thor! You don't have to resign, you can just state that "you don't want this game to be rated FOR YOU". There are enough rated players playing this game to be considered a rated game. You can keep playing without worrying about your rating. That's one of the good things about this system. If you start to lose bad, you can just bow out of the ratings at the 10 turn mark, but continue on playing (without being rated)!! (The ten turn mark is key. Once you decide to make it rated, you can't bow out until the NEXT ten turn mark.)

Edit: This 'bow out' rule might be modified if we use the "elimination" rule that we are discussing in the "Winning in Civilization?" thread.

                          • Turn to Krash - agree to Quinns (it ok, but you may still rate me in Monkey 2 if sufficient players agree - I am insane as someone stated a while ago ).

As for this game - all quiet. Only stubling into mexicans cities all the time....

And that little mexican woman, I saw a painting of her carried home by one of my diplomats - it seems to be so many years ago - but still, I simply can't to any harm to her people .

Edit: Krash, thanks for sending the turn to the right player (DonCarne)
