Re: emebedding the scout, I don't see how that would have helped them anyhow.

Would have madei t easier for them to issue orders.

I might have to take a step back from everything. We're sort of awaiting word from the hospital, I'll know within 48 hours, but I might have to leave pretty much all online period if it comes back bad.

If not, then I'll be fine to answer.

There's a possibility all our kids were exposed to menengitis (sp), which would turn out to translate into likely brain damage for Alec and death for Talia if they contract it. Yeah, nice thing to let us know in passing as you leave a bday party. "oh, btw..."

Sent to Paddy's e-mail & the Horde team e-mail, also sent to Bongo via PM.

          Greetings Team Horde.

Understood regarding payment. These were unforeseeable complications. We can figure out a payment schedule once it's possible for Merc to have in-game peace with the Horde again.

We apologize that your scout can't "embed" due to Sarantium's contract. I would point out, though, that due to the turn order of Sarantium-Merc-Horde, the end-of-turn screenshots and information we will be sending you should be able to contain as much information about the stack as your scout would have gathered by journeying with it.

Your stack has been moved to the assigned location. Next turn you may start issuing orders. The unfortunate presence of a Sarantine archer on the same tile may create movement issues; nevertheless, we stand ready to declare in-game war and move forward.

Attached is a screenshot of the stack. You can also see it at http://apolyton.net/upload/view.php?...0550.stack.jpg if you wish to view it on poly/link it in to your forums. (I'll keep images in my upload service for at least the duration of the contract; if you want permanent archive copies though, I suggest putting them on your own HD/upload/etc.) All units, except two of the axemen, are at 4 XP. An axe and a spearman have already been promoted to Combat I. We were thinking it would be best to hand out Combat I promotions to the rest of the Spears and Axes, but give Flank to the chariots so that they might survive when used in initial, weakening attacks. However, we would like to consult with you about these promotions. Depending on your goals, it might be prudent to save a couple promos for possibly pursuing the City Raider path. Please tell us your thoughts on this matter.

As far as organization goes, Bongo's suggestions sound good and were much in line with what we were thinking. Sarantium doesn't move until just before us, so ultimately we'll just have to send you updated information once we get the save and we can go from there. But it might indeed be a good idea to leave some standing/preliminary orders, just in case you might fall out of touch. We'll do our best to talk with you and confirm a final plan whenever we get the save. We might want to do live "turnchats" if a particularly large battle occurs that might call for on-the-spot reconsiderations - but this could also be handled via pm with almost as much speed.

Regarding places to meet for live chat, I believe we all have access to poly IRC. I have MSN and AIM, and UnOrthOdOx has AIM as well. Our other main turnplayer at the moment is polarnomad; I do not know if he is on either messenger service, but I'm sure he could communicate with you via PM.

          -Kloreep, Team Merc
          Here's the screenshot I sent:

Wasn't sure whether to extend it up to Anhinga since their stack can't "see" it itself, but I figured it might smooth over ruffled feathers to give them some free intel.

Kloreep, I do have MSN, but would rather correspond by PM unless absolutely necessary.

Cool, probably best to just not mention you have MSN then.

                Bongo replies by PM:

Very good, preliminary orders for next turn is to move the entire stack northeast. Should give both cover from the woods and the added opportunity to attack Anhinga with chariots.

I will start my vacation this weekend btw, will be away for up to three weeks. I will notify when/if I find a new turn-player. As always, sending emails to paddy and the team account is a good idea.

Sent to Horde team e-mail & Paddy. PMed to Bongo.

I'm afraid I have bad news. Sarantium declared war with an archer in the stack, and it's been bumped back into our territory.

How shall we proceed? Moving back 3 onto the tile would still provide the shortest path to Anhinga.

                      • To Paddy/Bongo/Team Horde

Both tiles with a Sarantium archer are indeed just one archer - no other Sarantium units in sight.

What would you like the stack to do this turn?

Hi Team Horde. We're already over 24 hours with the save and would like to move it along. However, we don't want to move your stack without hearing from you, and I don't believe we have even preliminary orders.

If Anhinga is the target, moving 9 would seem the best move. What do you think?

best to do something in amongst this matter

and then we will get some advance moves sorted

sorry for delays on our side these days

                            not many here now

                              Stack moved 9

What are your thoughts on next turn? The Chariots are now in range of Anhinga, but the rest of the stack is not.

Also, with the stack adjacent to open terrain (the iron plains), it's possible to scout ahead with a chariot without actually committing it to the tile. That might be something to think about - and to plan ahead for if that sounds good, so that we could get you a screenshot quickly once the turn arrives.

The screenshot is also available at http://apolyton.net/upload/view.php?...00.endturn.jpg

                              • Welp, save is here and nothing from the Horde, that I know of.

Sigh... I doubt this one will get out in 24 hours either, then. Will send them a screenshot & prompt.
