Snoop - I am not with you on the continents thing. I like the way the C3C has mixed it up early. I appreciate your reasoning though; and that early diplomacy is handled much more delicately as there are only two or three of you "in the boat" at that point in the game.

I could go great Plains - or as I said, the stringy pangaea set-up. I've always enjoyed those maps.

And welcome Aeon! As stated above, just stay close, and the game, and froum, and recruiting threads should follow quickly. Timewise, it will not take eons.

Well I sure hope it does not take eons It gets harder every minute I spend on Poly to refrain from getting a flight to the U.S. and bring down the front door at Firaxs' with my axe and deliver that copy of Civ to me personally.

Watch out, they have found a good counter for axemen there... check the game civilopedia for more info.

So if I understand this right, it's preferable to hack the backdoor to pieces, find a gamebox in the storage area, install the game on a lone terminal, fire up the game, read the civilopedia on their axemen countering techniques and then bring down the front door just for the heck of it?
