Just wondering, but why is it that nobody likes "Quick" game speed?
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

Quick speed means that you have a smaller window of opportunity to use military units before they become obsolete. So the game would be dictated by the tech race, less so by warmongering. I think the tech rate in this game is already going to be pretty fast, given that human players are under no restrictions when trading techs (other than Alphabet, of course).

I was wondering the same thing... Being a PBEM, could be an interesting option, because games like this usually lasts forever…

Quick speed kills the Mercs… They will never be up to date! Nobody can afford fast upgrades in cIV.

One Noble vote will mean we'll end up at Prince at best... if anyone would vote warlord, the ranking would be even more skewed. Sigh... I think we should at least have been able to vote Emperor

The diff level is unsurprising (and honestly I have no problem with it). What I do have a problem with is no city flipping and no barbs!

I guess the vote for the civ is premature, if we do not have any game conditions. I would cast differently if we were to end up in an AW game with raging barbs.
