There is a good reason to not tell us when they "think" it'll be ready. History shows that the reason is valid. Don't expect Trip or anyone else to tell us a release date. It only ever backfires always to do so.

Yeah, I know. But knowing, atleast semi-officially (as opposed to rumors), that there is one coming fairly soon, would really, really help.

If a beta tester told you anything about schedules, they would be violating NDAs. One of two things might happen.

The tester might get kicked, and then the prospects of tests such as Firaxis has run for civ being done again for future games might be diminished.

The best we can do is spread some rumours... which is what got the DG delayed in the first place. I understand it's frustrating, but the reality is that betatesters have no control whatsoever on the release schedule, they can only delay it. We're waiting, just like the rest of the world.

- Upload your personality to the game so your friend can play against you even when you don't want to

- Players see your emotions in real time: can you smile and plan for the backstab at the same time?

- you can play as any leader as you like: be caesar, lincoln, cathrine or gandhi ...you really can feel it
