Well, you could try to get civilization in another creative* way earlier and play it that way until the box arrives

*With creative I mean something like: "Fly to the US, buy the game, and fly home" or any other legal way to get civ4 of course

nice idea, but no-CD patches usually take 2 weeks to be created ... or at least that what i was told

Are there any opinions on the quickest way to get Civ4. I have always go to the store.

If you preorder/ship when do you get the game in relation to the release date?

How do the game stores compare to Amazon?

This questions concern orders in the USA.

EB Games has a "in-store pickup" option.

basically, (unless i understand something wrong) you can pre-order civ4 and secure your copy will be on the store on release day

Is there someone from the US who knows what it would cost to send the preorder edition by regular mail to Europe? (Netherlands). I mean, suppose I could ask a fellow civver to buy the thing from amazon and send it to me?

($30 dollar on EB, what have they eaton to become so insane?
