  • Looks like people are getting the hang of pressing the End Turn button.

The next turn has begun ~5 hours early!

    • Yep, Banana ended their turn so I logged in to take a look. Seems as though Donovan got the message, because he's gone absolutely apesh*t with the draftings and whippings. Banana burned through 14 pop (!!!) before last turn ended, and then another 5 pop on the current turn. That's the maximum of six drafted units for sure, plus another eight pop on several unit whips. Even though this is going to decimate Banana research capability (which is based on running lots of specialists), it's great news for us! Go Donovan!

I have offered Education to Imperio for Military Tradition. No need to offer the trade again, just wanted to get it in place ASAP to prevent any tomfoolery from Imperio's end. I also dropped research to 0% and changed focus back to Optics, our presumed next tech. Cape Town was the only city that finished a build, I set it to another cat. For the rest, I'll leave it in sunrise's capable hands.

      • Well managing an OCC isn't that hard to do, except the C&D department. But I doubt Templars have one.

        • Nice job Banana!

I assume his capital is producing much of his research, so we probably should have said "slave everything except the capital" for our purposes.

Along with the post mocking Templars' tile improvements at Jerusalem (where did that one go?), I nominate this for the hall of fame

*What grassland hill tile does the new settler go on? 3E or 4E of Jungle Fever?
*It's a good thing we have more reinforcements on the way than Imperio - they have 10 more units in their stack than we do!

Grrrrr, this is terrible news. We could have gotten printing press for free but now we have to research it.

              • Shame about the lack of islam spread into Jerusalem too. I whipped the theatre here anyway.

Next planned builds: Courthouse at Jerusalem. Probably barracks at Upper Burgundy? We can work the plains mine again and get some production going.

We can draft Frozen Clams next turn. May as well whip the library too afterwards.

I suppose we may as well settle the hill 3E of Jungle Fever. Better to overlap with tiles from JF and Jerusalem than to get ocean tiles we will never work.

                  Reccomended worker actions:
John and Max chop. Parsons moves to the plains forest at Pink and finishes the chop.

If the two combat engineers near Cape Town decide they aren't backstabbing, then they can farm the tile 1NE of Cape Town - could be useful post-biology and it keeps the workers available to road the rice at any time.
There will be a spare worker near Jerusalem who can do whatever sunrise wants.

                  • Military Tradition trade has gone through with Imperio. Do we want to cancel horses to Banana this turn and swap Cape Town to a cuirassier? There's still time to do this, and having one cuirassier on hand would certainly help out our Mutal strike enormously!

I have posted an attack plan against Imperio for discussion in the "Backstab" thread, and would love to see what others think.
