True, but some of our HA have already lots of XP, so might be upgradeable to Knights, no?

Well in theory, but I can't see us in this situation: "Well, I've just spent 400 gold to upgrade 4 horse archers to knights. Now if only I had a fifth HA to upgrade!"

You can add XP via WB but you cannot use it to promote units until the next round. Hit END TURN and then you can use the XP.

Could we attack with a third cat to make it gain experience? In any case we should wipe out the stack next turn imo. The faster we beat Templar the better. Also, without a Templar stack in the open, we don't need to be so flexible in defense.

The faster we can pull together our troops for an attack on Jerusalem, the better. If PAL are going to gift Nationalism to Templars, that gives them less chance to draft a replacement army.

Definitely agree. Though I wonder in practice how much they will be able to draft. They have to revolt to Nationhood, and then, they don't have the Globe nor any theaters as far as C&D can tell. They're bound to get some good WW from losing 10 units or so in enemy territory next turn, so I don't know how many draft angries they can tolerate.

iirc, they don't even have Drama, so Theatres are out the window for starters.

If they're going down, I would expect them to draft until they haven't got the Pop, then whip the rest away. I think they'll stop caring about happiness after we toast their stack...

If PAL gifts Nationalism to Templars, I think they will find it of not much use.
According to my numbers Templars are really in a happiness crunch right now.

They have zero happiness resources. All their sugar tiles are still unimproved. They get nothing from trade partners. State religion only present in main three cities. No temples, one palace. That's it.

So even before WW we get:
                  Jerusalem: +6 -7 = -1
                  Const: +5 -9 = -4
                  Damas: +5 -9 = -4
                  Acre: +4 -6 = -2

You can add one more WW unhappy face already to each city, I believe and make that 2 WW unhappy faces after we kill their stack next turn at least for their top three cities.
That explains why they have 5 & 6 defenders in their cities (even Damaskus, which is far away from our front line). Those units are on military police duty to keep the citizens in check.

Now, drafting adds 3 unhappy faces per draft. I can't see them drafting more than a couple of rounds max!

Errrr, they've been in serfdom for hundreds of years and yet their sugars are still unimproved?

They are role playing ... serfdom is an obvious match for knights of the round table. Also, knights don't drink tea or coffee, so why would they want sugar.

Edit: There is about 2hrs on the clock ... should we expect some action around my lunch time?

They can't even convince their buddys from Imperio to gift them a spare gold which would be forge-boosted in their top three cities! And they still give Imperio 25gpt. Weird.
It is probably a research pactm in which Imperio researches for both of them. I wonder whether Imperio will uphold that deal and gift Templars Gunpowder?

@Ruff - Yes, I'm happy to hop on TeamSpeak and any chatroom someone creates right when the turn ticks over.

Also, Imperio hasn't logged in yet, have they? So if they're trying anything sneaky with their galley or around Cape Town look for them to move right at the end of the turn.

They have not logged in to do their moves, no. They were logged in early this turn, though.
