Imperio wants to pause the game for FIFTEEN days?! Look, I'm fine with a short break for the holidays, but that's crazy.
We've finally been getting some actual turns done recently. Our last "state of the empire" (T85) was on November 17. If their proposal goes through, we will have played a grand total of 10 turns over a span of 60 days!

Yes, but not definitively until next turn. The Demographics bar graphs are always one turn behind the current one. The actual Demographics screen updates in real time, but unless the team in question is #1 or dead last, it's hard to get an exact value from this.
Also, I was wondering about the tile configuration at Airstrip One? The worker is due in 5 turns. Can we work the cottage for any turns instead of the mine? It does get an extra gold, but I don't know when we need the worker complete by. If we are not able to reduce literature to 5 turns, and we need to switch to building research at x-2, then we can afford a 6-turn worker. But if we can get it down to 5 turns, then we need to keep a 5-turn worker but may be able to work the cottage for at least some of those turns.
I agreed with this point made by sooooo in the Great Library thread, so went ahead and made the swap. Worker from 5t to 6t in the capital, while working the cottage. I ran a rough estimate of our Great Library ETA, and this didn't seem to cause any problems. We will need at least 4 turns + 2 turns of zero science in researching Literature, at the bare minimum.
On another note, I will mention here that I'll be away skiing for a few days after the 25th. Our place is supposed to have wireless Internet, and I'm taking my Civ-capable laptop, but if you should see the turn time ticking down and I haven't posted anything in days, please assume the worst and go ahead and play the turn.
Unless something crazy happens, I will always play the turn within the first 24 hours.
Played the turn, too tired to do the writeup right now. (It is 2am here at the moment... I just couldn't go to sleep without playing the next turn! He he. )
Quick synopsis: we founded our sixth city, which cost us a mere 2gpt and gained up 8 beakers/turn! Demographics info is really looking positive at the moment. If it weren't for PAL's rampage on the other continent, we would be in great shape. Much more to come tomorrow, after I get some sleep.
Jericho got Christianity. They will pop borders in 10 turns, grabbing the cows.
Templars finally managed to farm the Wheat at Damaskus. (That took ages.)
