    Turn 92:
    A1 to max shields (15)
Oracle (150 at start of turn, 135 after EOT)

    Turn 93:
A1 to max shields (30) with marble
    2 x Forest Chops (2 x 2 x 20 = 80 hammers)
    Oracle (135 / 25)

    Turn 94:
    A1 (30)
    Oracle (25 / -)

    Turn 95:
    Oracle finished

Next time we have to do all of this maths, remind me to start a brand new thread.

Great! No whips, only 2 chops, we get a tech that cancels out the detour to Priesthood and we deny Imperio the wonder. Best of all if the Oracle falls during the next couple of turns we've lost nothing. Great analysis all. Come drink the Oracle kool-aid M_H

        Turn 92 (turn 3):
PD finishes settler, 8 hammers overflow
        PD max hammers (12)
        Oracle (150 / 130)

        Turn 93 (turn 4):
PD max hammers (24 with marble)
        Oracle (130 / 106)

        Turn 94 (turn 5):
        PD (24), Oracle (106 / 82)

        Turn 95 (turn 6):
        PD (24), Oracle (82 / 58)

        Turn 96 (turn 7):
        PD (24) + Double whip (60)
        Oracle (58 / -)

        Turn 97 (turn 8):
        Oracle finished

As long as krill doesn't pop up asking us (or Imperio or anyone!) on what turn our Oracle will be finished

Oracle at the capital plan sounds good.

When should we research Priesthood? (Getting it at the same time as connecting Marble might be a giveaway that we are working on Oracle, but getting it early might make Imperio worried about Oracle too.)

According to Ruff we need to have the tech done by Turn 92.

Now Ruff's really going to hate me... there's an error in the Pink Dot math as well. The settler is due in 4 turns and can't be sped up, so the Oracle build can't begin there until T93, and won't finish before T98. With that in mind, I think it's an even bigger no-brainer for Airstrip One. Sorry, Ruff.

I'll make the minor adjustments in-game and update the "Current Actions" sticky.

This is why I always ask people to check my maths ... and to think that I actually get paid for calculating stuff ... so now I do need that worker from the capital to chop a forest ...

                  Turn 89 (0):
PD (15 hammers), settler (48/100 invested, 52 to go at beginning, 37 at end)

                  Turn 90 (1):
                  PD (15 hammers), settler (37, 22)

                  Turn 91 (2):
                  PD (15 hammers), settler (22, 7)

                  Turn 92 (3):
Worker from capital moves to forest hill
                  PD (15 hammers), settler (7, 8 overflow)

                  Turn 93 (4):
                  Chop [1]
                  PD Settler done
                  PD ([12 + 8] x 2), Oracle (150, 110)

                  Turn 94 (5):
                  Chop [2]
                  PD (12 x 2), Oracle (110, 86)

                  Turn 95 (6):
                  Chop [3]
                  PD ([12 + 20] x 2), Oracle (86, 22)

                  Turn 96 (7):
                  PD (12 x 2), Oracle (22, 0 + 1 overflow)

                  Turn 97 (8):
                  Oracle Finished
Now, what about if that worker moved to the forest on the river (with road!) ...

                  Turn 89 (0):
PD (15 hammers), settler (48/100 invested, 52 to go at beginning, 37 at end)

                  Turn 90 (1):
                  PD (15 hammers), settler (37, 22)

                  Turn 91 (2):
                  PD (15 hammers), settler (22, 7)

                  Turn 92 (3):
Worker from capital moves to forest near river with road
                  chop [1]
                  PD (15 hammers), settler (93, 100 + 8 overflow)

                  Turn 93 (4):
                  Chop [2]
                  PD Settler done
                  PD ([12 + 8] x 2), Oracle (150, 110)

                  Turn 94 (5):
                  Chop [3]
                  PD ([12 + 20] x 2), Oracle (110, 46)

                  Turn 95 (6):
                  Double whip
                  PD ([12 + 15 x 2] x 2), Oracle (46, 19 overflow I think)

                  Turn 96 (7):
                  Oracle Finished

                    So, we're up to:

                    A1 - 2chop - 0whip - T95
                    PD - 1chop - 2whip - T96

                      Opportunity Cost:
                      A1 option
                      - A1 coming off its commerce configuration for 3 turns
                      - down 2 forests that we had planned for GLib
                      PD
                      - 1 extra turn
                      - worker rush to PD from capital for chop

I am cooled off now. (probably one beer to many yesterday night).

Well, good luck to us is all I can say.

If we're going for Oracle at A1 (and it seems we are), we should delay the chops from T93 to T94 to preserve the forests incase Oracle BIDL on T94.

NB: we're not likely to get Currency with the Oracle as we probably won't have Maths.

If Imperio are trying for a CS Sling then they'll surely be able to time the Oracle for Maths + 1 turn (to allow a same-turn trade for CoL). If a Currency grab is their game, then time it with Maths.

They told us on 24 November that they were already researching Maths. If we assume they were 1 turn in T88 then we can get reasonable idea of the finish date. I'd estimate T92 for Maths.

So it looks like we'll miss out if they're going for Oracle.

BTS changed the requirements, so we can get Currency via Alphabet.

The chair would like to submit the following item for discussion. Here are the current cost numbers for Sabotage Production on the espionage screen:

                                Mutal 556
                                Lakamha 385
                                Chichen 162
                                Jerusalem 313
                                Jericho 26

If we know or can derive the exact formula (War Room guys perhaps?) for sabotage cost, we can work out the current hammer count in each city. Mutal seems to be a fair ways towards something at the moment...
