Following up on the espionage cost formula:
The cost multiplier for City X can be found by working from the cost of the "Investigate City" passive mission. (One could work through the entire formula for distance and all the other factors, but that's not necessary.)
BaseCost for Investigate City is 2 * (100 + TheirEP).
TheirEP is 112, so BaseCost = 424.
The game shows 491 as investigate city cost.
Multiplier = 491/424 = 115% (or +15%.)
For Sabotage Production, BaseCost is 6 * hammers.
6 * Hammers * Multiplier = FinalCost
6 * Hammers * 115% = 556
Hammers = 80
So Mutal already has 80 hammers towards something. This rules out all units other than a settler and all buildings except a library or wonder. Do we think it's a settler, or library, or the Oracle? My money's on the last.
Should we go back to Aesthetics for this turn and see how Mutal's hammer count changes, before sinking research into Priesthood? (Quick discussion essential, only 2 hours left in the turn)
