Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Ah the early game...so much to do, so little production to do it. Thank goodness we aren't working any cottages .
I'd build an Archer or two before the third Settler. Actually, I'd let sooooo do one of his Sword rush things, with the third Settler time to complete and claim Iron.
I'd be in favour of, after the worker, going for max growth (that's size 4 in 6 turns) while building 2 archers (with one chop). 1 chop = 1 archer, and the other archer will be built in the 6 turns of growth. Then a settler at size 4.

This sounds like the best plan I've heard. That is, unless we decide to drop everything and rush someone with swords... (Or maybe, we claim iron with city #3 and rush with swords + cats anyway! )
Sounds good. (My assumption about Settler #3 was because everybody talked about importance of early settlers. As for cottages, it's a completely different playing style from the one we are adopting.)
According to Sulla and MH in the Cloak and Dagger thread, neither of our neighbors will be in a position to attack any time soon. So do we still want to waste production and upkeep costs training two inexperienced archers, or should we just train a single archer for the settler protection and put the rest of production into barracks while growing to size 4 at max food?
I've taken some time to go through all our threads, and I must say, I regret not having the time to participate in this as much as a could... but perhaps that will change very soon.
A couple general questions:
Do we plan to have a separate thread for each city? The title of this thread suggests otherwise.
Also, do we have a city name planned for our next city? It looks like my only contribution to this game so far has been the name of our capital, so perhaps I can offer my lowly "expertise" again.

Sounds like a good plan but I am really hoping that your "-Kodii" is you signing off and not your suggestion for the name of City #2.

I think one is sufficient, but I'd put hammers into a second while growing to size 4 rather than a barracks. I'm not a huge fan of buildings this early in the game (except Granaries of course).
