Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Working the wine tile would increase science by 20% plus provide an additional hammer for the cost of -25% growth rate.
We can work that tile until the copper mine is finished.
I vote work the wines for 2 turns and re-assess after that. Are we starting a settler after the current warrior finishes?

Since there seems to be some discussion on this issue, I will weigh in with grassland forest over plains wines. 1 food is indeed better this early on than 2 commerce, IMO.
I guess it's no longer an issue since we've already told Temlpars about horses. I just want to know as quickly as possible who has metals and who doesn't. So either grassland or wines would be fine for me.
The mine is finished, but I kept working the grass forest since I was assuming that we would be building a settler at size 3 and want to get to that size asap. At size 3 we can have 10 production and I think we can afford to make 4 warriors before a settler instead of the proposed 3. Warriors only cost 15 hammers.
If we have copper near the capital, I'd start on Settler right away, and switch to axe once the copper is connected. (A single axe is a better deterrent than 2.5 warriors.)
We will grow in 1 turn to size 3 no matter what tile apart from the cows that we work. If we work the plains mine we get the warrior in 2 turns rather than 3 (my favoured plan). Or is overflow food more important?
Are we agreeing to stop at size 3 to max production and build a settler? With only 1 food tile and an already build mine, building it naturally (well, with a chop) seems better than going to size 4 and whipping the settler.
I'd put in a settler for a turn to avoid wasting worker's time. I think a turn of worker's actions is more valuable than a turn of city working a 1/2 tile. (If the worker finishes mine a turn faster, we'll recover the unit of production we'll lose by delaying city growth.)
