@Swiss - the entire discussion is academic, but imagine if Banana had taken a couple of cities. They would have made an enemy of PAL, but PAL will surely come for them anyways. On the other hand, it would be a weaker PAL, stronger Banana, and maybe even an intact Rabbits.

If Banana had attacked as he was tempted to do, then the world would definitely be a very different place. Hard to say whether losing a couple of backline, low pop cities would have weakened PAL and strengthened Banana to any great extent. The only thing for sure is that we wouldn't have met Banana yet, as we'd have had to have gone the sea route via Templars/PAL.

We got a response to this (which I already deleted) but it said basically that it was a mistake and he thought he re-offered it, but if not, to please re-offer it and he would accept it.

Yes, that was an accident. I couldn't get out of the diplo screen (someone was entering or leaving the game, I think) so I cancelled it and resent. Or so I thought.
