[SIZE=1] Personally I am in favour of putting those 2 turns into a worker, then swapping to an archer.

I agree with completing worker ahead of Archer. Nobody will even see our Archer unless they attack us. And an attack at this point is highly unlikely. If we switch to slavery as soon as Settler gets on the way, we'll always have an option of whipping emergency defenders.
PS I agree with scout moves suggested by MH.

I'm in favor of simply building a worker, period. No swapping to archer mid-build. We know that Imperio's been working on Stonehenge for ages now, and the Templars are... well, who knows? But they're not building units, or we would have seen some kind of indication by now. Clearly, neither neighbor is planning an attack. We are #1 in Solider count by a fair margin, and the other teams are likely worried about us attacking them!
Building a second worker (which will by boosted by our current forest chop) seems like the best plan to me.

Right, looks like worker after settler is the consensus.
Do we plan on revolting to Slavery while the Settler is on the go?
Can we try to get a look at Imperios land next turn, moving the scout into the forest 1S 1SW? Next turn is the last chance to do that before Mutals culture pops the 3rd ring.

Turn 38 complete.
The Mayans have cows and their pasture is 2 turns from completion.
Our settler is complete, worker started.
Settler started the journey south.
Now I do trust the templars, but just to be on the safe side I would like to cover the settler with the warrior. I think I will move the settler 1S next turn. Our other warrior down their is sat on Pink Dot. Any advice on how to mm our units and settler is appreciated. We want to protect foremost against animals.

The safest course of action would be for the settler to take 1 step south next turn, while southern warrior goes NW to watch for potential animals. Then settler joins northern warrior. Then settler and northern warrior take a step south. Then settler joins southern warrior. Finally, Settler and southern warrior arrive at city site.
Any other movement plan I see saves at most 1 turn, and leaves Settler exposed outside our borders for at least some time.

I've archived the CivStats emails (click on 'all mail' to see them) so that our inbox is less cluttered. I've also added labels to the messages to tell which are from which team.Quote: "All Happiness is the release of internal pressure"
