Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Just to develope this thread a bit more, I have heard the diabolical rabbit plan is to >>>win<<<
However I have no idea how they intend to pull this particular rabbit out of their hat.
So. we need to find out a few things.
What is their concept of optimum city qty?
What constitutes an well defended fringe city?
Build on defensive terrain on border cities? Hills rivers...even if the best location is the next spot over? We need to consider the risks. If we lose a city whether it's in a pretty spot doesn't help us much.
How far do we go for...copper or other goodies or do we keep it tight?
Best defense a good offense or lots of defensive guys? Fast reaction horsemen or heavy hitter slow slogging guys?
Any good city sites out there for City II?
Anything else we could think about? Alternately are there any of the above questions not worth pondering at this point?
If the only relations we can have at the moment is with ourselves I suggest we find out what we can, yes?

I can only imaging that about ourselves we know naught.
Thankfully I have obtained through the exchange of currency (we'll get to it, hopefully) for a trade item a book, a self help book to be precise. Now, I will tell yo...ooopppsss, share with you guys ooppss,...fellow humans of indeterminate gender, some info about, well, us, shall I?

The above sounds pretty good but of course this changes throughout the game as better units become available. Also, you need to be flexible depending on what your neighbours/enemies have. E.g. If they have lots of horsemen then you will need more Spears.
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity.
If so, what about the next question, defensive terrain. Certain terrain adds a modifier. The best is hills at +50%? I can't load the game to refresh my memory. Then there's rivers...behind a river we're +25%, yes? Are there any other terrain features that effect city defense?
First we should decide if those modifiers (whatever they actually are) are worth influencing city placement, what do you guys think?
