Another option is doing it the UnO way and simply harass them: destroying road connections, pillaging improvements, the works...

I'm still against any statement of superior morality. Our action is to go to war, that's statement enough. At such times it is best not to get wordy. So I stick with the simple statement of intent I suggested earlier.
