Our research is fluctuating all the time due to the fact that our maintenance costs increases. The latest projections estimate a finishing time of a bit less then 40 turns.
This would go faster if you manage to finish Alphabet in the short term and enable us to make an initial trade for Writing so libraries could be constructed.

On the matter of trade routes, be our guest to link up to Valley Hutch, the warren closest to your ivory city. For trading resources, currently we can only offer health resources in the tradebox, we're still a long way off from happiness resources.

Hi Rabbits,

Thanks for the prompt response.

Just to keep you guys in the loop, we have managed to make contact with the other island, we have a fairly neutral relationship with them; we would really like to coordinate with this island rather then them.

You guys have built too far from your capital, resulting in crippling maintenance costs, so monarchy is taking too long. Waiting 40 turns for monarchy will cripple both our empires, so this is what we suggest, please feel free to make modifications:

Tech trade 1: Meditation for Ivory (to help you guys grow without monarchy, we might be tempted to give gems too at a later date Smiley )
Tech trade 2: Priesthood for Writing
Tech trade 3: Alphabet and CoL for Mathematics

External tech trade: PaL attempts to trade monarchy for something, possibly alphabet.

In the mean time you guys cottage up your capital and research monarchy, and we will get Civil service. Which we will be willing to trade for a very cheap technology, something even half its price which you should be able to get roughly in the same time as we get Civil Service.

By the end of all the tech trades we should have the same technologies, with you guys contributing only 1/3(ish) of the bottles … Does this sound like a good deal? This would mean you guys have to stop researching Monarchy and start Mathematics, so we can boost your science instantly with civil service.

But if we are going to research so gang-ho, we need to know there is no risk of aggression, and therefore don’t have to worry about unit maintenance costs or “wasting” hammers on units… Thus some kind of peace treaty would have to be in place – for a fairly decent period of time.

I'd say we respond that once we have a single library, we could deliver Monarchy in 20 turns. So the first tech they should trade us is Writing.

I don't think we need Ivory. We can always switch to Slavery and whip our excess rabbits.


But if we go with their proposal ( ), they expect us to research Pottery too for that's necessary to "cottage our capital".
