Well, I finally finished the game. Decided to just end it with domination instead of slugging it out with England. Ended up with only 77 MA's and 9 armies left, I would have had to build up for a while to take on the English, although the outcome wasn't in doubt whatsoever.

If I had started out on the Egyptian island I doubt I ever would have had a chance at conquest/domination. There's always a more challenging scenario.

I still really enjoy late ancient and early middle ages warfare. Most of the games I've played lately have only been up to and through that time period. The latter ages slow down (from a turns perspective) a bit too much to really enjoy.

To keep my Iroquois citizens happy (doesn't make sense, they aren't happy unless it's a complete genocide). I ended up disbanding all the main Iroquois cities anyways because my initial force (6 MA) didn't take all the cities on the SE island, and the mainland cities would have flipped, so it was a wash.

I too am speechless. I also wonder how you could even want to play this game any more. That starting position on Deity is about the worst position I can think of, other than 'truly' hopeless positions, like a island of only mountain or some other junk.

Yes, offense, offense, and more offense. Seems like you have your game pretty well in hand, though swapping those Infantry numbers with your Panzer numbers would scare the AI to death once you built a few transports.
