PS: Journier, how's the tech race going? did the iroquois and germany make any new discoveries?

Plan(?): 1. Take out China.
2. (???big maybe???) Switch to communism.
3. Attack India (Eliminate the civs that are still "powers" but not "superpowers" first).
4. FIgure out what to do once we've gotten to this point.

And, according to the order, godinex should be up next...looks like 10 more turns of peace before phase 1 goes into action!

I've been thinking, and I think controlling Europe, Asia, and Africa (essentially wiping out/shrinking everyone but iroquois) might be a domination victory, if we control Brazil too. Overall though, to get domination ASAP, we need to step up colonization efforts and maybe begin building up in australia (possibly large enough to make us need a big iroquois war to win...)

domination victory = 66% of land right?

that should be all of asia and africa no doubt... its 66% of land compared to rest of land controlled my other opponents.. not total land on map... it can also be like culture or something 66% more culture pfft good luck on that lol

heh yea... i just thought about that... we could build like 25 settlers and just colinize the rest of south america and green land and australia and any other rock we can find.. lol should be a domination win right there

I'm almost certain it has nothing to do with you compared to others. you must have 66% of the land squares on the map within your borders, that the only way to win a domination victory.

PS: a cultural victory is out, because although we might get 20,000 in Civville or 100,000 overall, we have to have at least double everyone else too!!

ok... lets take out china then india
after them lets sit for another 10-20 turns to rebuild our army to take out germany... should be simple.


and guys best way to take out a computer opponent with railroads is land on a mountain with defensive units... and i mean like 20 or more of them... they computer sends any unit it has free to attack ur landers. after u hold the comp off u can then send in offensive units and just bam bam.... knock his cities out 1 by 1.. although i guarentee we will need like extra tranny's waiting at home for new troops to be sent over cuz i know hes going to be ripping us a new one with his defensive units...

and seeing how INFANTRY can kill any offensive unit we have right now... id say lets build up artillery... definate... we can probably weaken his cities and troops in the city a few hitpoints before we attack... probably make success a little better...

i say 15 artillery pieces and they move around easy anyways

When my turn comes around, I'll see about prepping up the invasion force for Germany.

If we take some of the Germans key resources quickly, they won't have any to build up something to counter us.

India and China will be easy targets...

tanks? germany'll probab;y have them before us...so far they dont have a source of oil (!!!) but they have one in thier territory they just don't have a road to it yet ..note that no one has any good offensive units. That's why WWI took so long, everyone was just using artillery to both attack and defend, occasionally making a suicide infantry attack! Maybe masses of infantry (easy to make, can beat a counterattack, and, most importantly, can be drafted) with a few artillery might work...
