I have just recently found these postings
under an another thread in this same group:

    Posted by SITS:

It's amazing. I send Amazon a nasty email with tales of woe about my fictional grandsons birthday being ruined because they haven't sent out the LE order on time and 2 hours later it is sent! Even though I said I wanted to change it to the cheaper delivery option as poor Timmy's, the grandson, birthday has already passed

    Here between Nov 6-8

    Bastards!

And a later reply from SITS:

My complaint to Amazon has been responded to with an offer of a $10 voucher which I'm going to reject as I want the full cost of the Express Deliverly that I was unable to change.

    Bastards!

It doesn't matter so much wich signature you use
(of course the message of it might catch different persons,
but it's more important that it's at least a pro-LE sig)
but the main point is that you have at least started
        to use a BTC sig.
        To my standards, that's cheap.
I agree with you. I almost chipped when I saw that
        price earlier this week.

This e-mail has just been sent to Amazon.com's
customer service. It will soon be added to the BTC Library.

          Hi!

I have pre-ordered my Civ III Lmited Edition on 14th October, and the game was released for sale on 31st October. The order should have already been shipped. Not to mention that you have already received my payment (your CS sent earlier this week an e-mail confirming that my SWIFT cheque had been received). But are you still holding on with my shipment? I have paid for expedited shipment a higher charge, so that I would receive my order faster. Does this mean that just because of that I have placed my order before Amazon.com changed the information on the Civ III Limited Edition's item page to "Currently, item can be shipped only within the US". So am I supposed to wait until one beautyful day you "might" deliever my order? According to one person's report (he has also pre-ordered the Civ III Limited Edition from your webshop), he has received a 10$ voucher from you as a compensation for having to wait for his order. Because I have also pre-ordered and paid my game, I also demand a voucher from Amazon.com as a compensation for all my sufferings; in time and money. Further more I also suggest that Amazon.com would give every customer that has pre-ordered a copy of Civ III Limited Edition from you, before you set the current limitation on shipments of the item in question, to customers outside the US, should be given a voucher as compensation for your foolish treatment of customers. I remind you that this could be a visible hit on your public image to foreign customers.
Giving away some vouchers is a small loss compared to a loss of tens or hundreds of customers. But it's your choice...

          Regards,
Rasmus Anderssén, a fed up customer who wants fair treatment from Amazon.com

I know that Timmy is just a fake case,
but I just used it for boosting my message.

And it worked! See BTC newsroom for more
                details.

                      Important notification!

Please visit this thread for more details:
                      Amazon.com cancels Rasbelin's order!

I really suggest you to do that.

                      Unofficial news update

A Swedish BTC supporter is currently
                      (at least hopefully) investigating the
Civ III case, and I suppose I'm also going to
do something for that. Until further I won't
give any information (yes, I know something),
because I must have it confirmed.

So stay tuned to the ACS Civ III news section and
the BTC's newsroom. As soon as I get any
evidence, there will a detailed report.

But I can reveal something: I have received
an e-mail on the LE shipments, but I still
                      have to obtain more information.

Just an update. I received my copy of the LE today (which apart from the tin is very disappointing) Still have had no word yet about further compensation...

SITS, they (Amazon.com) offered about 4$ in compensation
for my financial losses that were about 20$. So they really
doesn't seem to give value to their customers.

All this effort over a cookie-tin Rasbelin? You're an idiot.

Why don't you just ask one of us nice yanks to send you a copy? Or is it the principle of the matter? God forbid Infogames deprive you of your cookie tin, put babies on spikes, and urinate on the Alamo! Fight the power!

Well, fight the power that's depriving you of some scrap metal. Rock on, jaghoff ...
