I just spoke to the shop where I buy my games, and they said that they would have the English Standard Edition on November 16, and that it currently weren't decided whether the game would be translated or not. Looks as if I don't need to wait too long.
As always, I am very happy for the non-Americans that choose to look on the bright side. It would be nice if they could have done a world-wide release.
That depends where in Sweden you are, obviously. My local drug, eh, I meant to say game, of course, dealer here in Sthlm is securing a overnight flight of an american bundle and I'll have mine on the 1st of Nov. It does get a bit expensive, though. 600 spänn, typ, ba.
But I'm only one of over 200 people who have ordered nevertheless. I've also booked an one-week vacation from that day one. Oh bliss!

I think 200 copies were all they could secure, and those are already booked. They haven't been accepting any new orders the last few weeks anyway. Sorry. I'll feel your pain when I boot Civ3 up on November the first! ;-)

Jag börjar mer och mer fundera över ifall jag ska annullera min förhandsbeställning på LE-versionen, medans tid är. Spelet + frakt + tull landar förmodligen runt tusenlappen. Rätt saftigt.
Och då vet jag inte ens ifall jag får den före, eller jämsides med sverige-releasen av SE-versionen i mitten av november. Mardröms-scenariot är att min förbokade LE-version försenas/ fastnar på vägen, samtidigt som det är försent att avboka. Undertiden släpps SE-versionen i butikerna.
Har jag förstaatt det hela rätt om jag skriver att planschen över teknologiträdet (som ju var standard i Civ II) enbart kommer i specialversionen (och saaledes inte är standard)?
Har för mig att jag läste det naagonstans. Svagt i saa fall!
