Then it should have been Emperor, because i was just playing the AU 202 on Emperor level ? Or do you mean your previous level - hm that may be if you are loading PBEM games from the main menu's "Load game" option.

Try using this MP loading method that we had to use in one private PBEM game when almost nothing worked correctly.
I have used it ever since in PBEM games and have had much less problems.

Launch PTW
Select Multiplayer
Set Location to Local.

Click on Host
Under Game Type, select Play By EMail
Under Game Mode, select Load Game
Load the current save
Click on Launch

Do your turn
Click on the End Turn Oval
Save the Game

/edit: Tom Red, you try loading your game this way too, maybe it'll help to the food problem. Loading a PBEM game from main menu can cause most bizarre bugs.

I'll look more closely at my game....but I don't seem to have any problems....

Are you all using the most up to date patch? There is a documented/unfixed bug that sets all regent difficulties to Monarch in MP mode.

I just load game from the main screen. Sometimes it says Monarch difficulty, other times it says Regent. Everything else is working fine as far as I know. I am using 1.14.

I found a european patch AND loaded the game as you advised - and it worked this time - but I've wasted very valuable turns at the begining of the game !!!
