Yeah...

Well...I have never ended up in a position, that was so bad, it wasn't playable...(That doesn't mean, I can win, nomatter the starting position...it just means, I can have fun, even with having the worst starting position ever...)

When should be the starting "veto" expressed? Immediately in the beginning, during the very first turn?
Or should we wait 3 turns, to see the surroundings?

So, what do you vote? 1 turn, 3 turns, more?

If you're using PBEM, I would suggest you get involved in multiple games, so that starting position, and anticipation of failure do not cause players to want to restart, or cheat, etc.

You mean having several games running (with maybe different oponents) at the same time? If that's the case, how many games should a player max be involved in at the same time???

As many as you can deal with and keep track of. An individual PBEM game doesn't take up big blocks of time at once. You may get one turn a day in a good turn around game if you are lucky. In other PBEM games I've been involved with over the years, a turn every week is more typical. Because of this there is no good reason to limit yourself to only one game at once.

It would be good to have a group that can spend an hour or so for the first (fast) turns. Ideally I'd have liked an option to play online then PBEM, but I dont think it works out that way.

I was thinking that multiple games would be a good option myself.
