nothing to worry about mate
I went through the same questions several times already today is all
it is just such a shame, that this supposed finished patch, was not even put through a thorough editing... only wonder if they did not get the words correct, what else is lost in the coding...

the warning ricketyclic mentionned is explained by jesse as follows:
Also, the SAVE warning is for the general public. I can't be 100% sure that every save file will be fine so I have to say that it isn't compatible.- Artificial Intelligence usually beats real stupidity

We tried running with the 1.20 patch last night and gave up after 2 hours of testing.
There is a horrible bug that renders this patch WORTHLESS and UNUSABLE for the Multiplayer Community.
It is impossible to restart/reload a GAME. When you restart a previously begun 1.20 game, you are presented with a 90% black screen and a total loss of functionality. The game cannot be restarted no matter which of the 5 previous Autosave files you use. I consider it irresponsible that such basic functionality like this wasn't tested.
I am not referring to old 1.15 games not being able to be reloaded (the readme tells you that won't work). I am referring to all future 1.20 game being non-restartable.
We have advised all our users to go back to 1.15. The vendor needs to correct this major flaw and reissue a 1.21 patch as soon as possible.
Sincerely,

Can we go back to 1.15 until these issues are resolved?

after my spit on this thread about 1.18, I was approached by a few players with a good suggestion.
I am now running several versions of C3C
all I did was copy the one I had into new folders, then added the appropriate patch to the different folders.
when I get a 1.15 game, I open C3C 1.15... when I get a 1.20 game I open C3C 1.20... this is the same thing I have to do for the PTW PBEMs that are still going
hope that helps

sorry, was not trying to be that much of a pain
---------------------------
in your windows directory, make a new folder in the Civilization folder. call it 120 conquests.
not open your conquest folder...
now copy all of the files from conquests to 120 conquests...
ok, now you have 2 sets of the same thing.
new download the patch into the 120 conquests folder
once down loaded, run the application
there will be a point when the application asks which directory folder you want this installed into. at this point browse, and take it to your new folder 120 Conquests.
at the end of the install you will now have 2 different versions in 2 different folders.
-------------------------
the next thing is to put a shortcut on your desktop.
so that I know which is which, I changed the icon on my 2nd version
then I changed the names on the 2 icons - 1.15 & 1.20
this saves when I am tired, or just a bit to drunk
-------------
hope that makes sense
I will be msn messenger and ICQ in 20 mins if that helps
