      1802ad July

is was a dark morning, the rain did not seem to want to let up...

Lord Paddy moved along the lines looking over his gun crews and then back along the lines of the Sipahi

to the west, the former allies city of turin...

would this attack be of any use

then at 10.13am the rain stopped, and with a nod from the Commander, the flag was raised, and the grand batteries commenced firing

the thunder of the previous night was suddenly recaptured as 170 grand batteries ripped the day apart

with clouds rising from the ground, merging with those above, all looked very surreal

we may never know how many units were within turin, what we can say is that before the swarms of 197 Sipahi moved on them, we could still see well ordered troops within the city... massive

and at the end of the day, the mighty armies moved in...

all to be called up short and the city of turin never fell..

we may never know how many troops kept the faith and survived for Emperor Modo, but to those hearty french lads we offer a salute for they with stood the mightiest onslaught we could bring to the field

All dead now. A massive barrage (over 120 Grand Batteries) ensued, followed by some 15 Armies (using all available attacks), more than 50 Imperial Cavalry, and "as many as it takes" (the Emperor's words) Imperial Guards that finished the job. At the end of the day, the Ottoman "Empire" was left with one Army and a handful of Sipahi.

        In other words, buh-bye Paddy.

Somebody tried to (re)capture Salzburg, and now has hundreds of units less (none survived). But not without losing around 30 Imperial Cavalry and Imperial Guards (each). It would look better for France, but Armies have to heal, too.

                  Can you really break stuff?

                          • The Russians near Salzburg were wiped out. All ~170 Grand Batteries opened fire. Then Imperial Cavalry (60), Armies (7), and Imperial Guards (a friggin lot ) attacked. After killing the large stack of Russians, its Grand Batteries (around 50) were used to soften up other targets, resulting in an easy clean-up operation. About 40 French units (mostly Imperial Guards) were lost during the entire battle.

The Ottomen were simply trapped on that mountain pass they were travelling. This must be a blunder, since it leaves the units useless for a whole turn, which means I will be taking cities again...

To answer my previous question: No, you can't.
