Guys,
I wish to withdrawl from this game. The main reason is that I will be in China during the month of August, and I'm not sure of my internet options while I'm there.
Modo, I'm sorry that I'm doing this to you in two of the games you set up. I think both are great concepts, but I have to admit the pace for both games has been tough for me. I don't think these games will finish before cIV comes out.
Anyway, I hope no one is mad, I'll play my turns while a replacement is sought -- hopefully before I leave.
Shogun GunnerHaven't been here for ages....

EDIT: Got the save. I will play it in the morning (going to sleep now).
Let me remind you all of a house rule (stated in the first post of the setup thread). If the NATO or the USSR decides to nuke any country for any reason, all other countries are obligued to declare war on the nuking superpower. This is due to the unbalancing power of nukes in Civ3 (no possibility of simultaneous nuclear strike and other military action, so the first one gets a huge advantage).
You do not have to actually fight, though, just to stay at war (which prevents ROPs and trading of any kind).
The few nukes India and China have are not subject to this rule.Last edited by Modo44; July 30, 2005, 18:17.Seriously. Kung freaking fu.

What about the battle reports rule? China is not performing this, and so I have decided I will not be honouring the no nuke rule with regard China.
Modo, thank you for reminding me of this rule. NATO however remains on DEFCON1, and if any nation's troops approach our soil, we WILL be nuking that nation.

Save sent to Beta.
----------------- (now the fun part)
The USSR is very displeased with the harsh reactions of the NATO to the recent self-defense action taken by China in regard to incidents on the Indian border. We will monitor closely the progress of the happenings in the region.
In response to the NATO declaring DEFCON1, all ICBM missile crews of the Warsaw Pact have also been put on full alert. We do, however, hope no action will have to be taken.
We are pleased to inform the world community that despite the dramatic events in India, our scientists and technicians have completed a long-expected project. We call it the Internet. It will allow instant communication of all our scientistsand army, which will, without doubt, provide peace and prosperity to the world through the numerous technological advances it will grant us.Seriously. Kung freaking fu.
