                    • The being angry was just a figure of speach. The attack on Stalingrad was scheduled for this turn anyway, so all you did was provide an even better reason to go through with it. Good thing that, much unlike myself , I do keep reserves in this game.

                      • Well, I saw the opurtunity for a surprise attack, and took it. Hopefully to divert some of your forces and delay the attack (which has clearly been building for a little while now). I guess it didn't work.

To be honest, I didn't expect to hold those two cities for long if you did decide to take them back. It's a shame I have some decent attacking power so late in the game. It's very hard to wage war with only level 1 infinatry and crappy tanks, against strong panazas and level 2 infintry. One thing I did underestimate is the strength of the panzas early in the game.

Well, it sort of did. You managed to delay the RR being connected to the Oil for yet another turn. The last one, I think.

The problem for you is that I have all Germany on Rails, and an untouched (now, with more Workers, even growing) core. I doubt you can break that anymore. Your bombing does not cripple my economy, it just slows down the build up.

I agree. You had very little offensive power against them (especially against those multiple counter-attacks by Panzers).

Or 3-move units (and 4-move Armies) in general. I saw what those can do on defense. My attack was delayed so long, because I knew about you having MAs, and was afraid of a trap (i.e. I take Stalingrad, and get my a$$ handed over to me next turn in a massive counter-attack). You still might have reserves at Kursk, hence all the pillaging...

By the way, I saw that a CIV version of this scenario is in the works.

Im sad to say, no trap here. I might have enough units to fight, but probably not recapture. I was absolutly dead about 6 or 8 turns ago. I litrally had no tanks left, you could have just rolled on through.

                              • Two French ships damaged by artillery barrages. Nothing else of note.

I tried out the CIV4 'North Africa' scenario as Italy tonite. Not surprisingly, my land units suck, but I'm giveing the British navy a really hard time.

                                Turn played and passed on.
